Re: Remove OS X 10.5 pixel clock limit
Do you have some specs that show that the GPU and LCD panel in that model is capable of a higher rate? Also, what model is it? I've set up custom resolutions on my old PPC iBook in the past, though for an external monitor. The screen was able to hit 85Hz without any issue. Refresh rates above that ...

Remove OS X 10.5 pixel clock limit
Who should I contact to get a patch written for OS X 10.5 that allows the pixel clock to exceed 165MHz? Can anyone on this forum do it? I am trying to overclock my PowerBook's LCD, but the pixel clock is locked to 165MHz, so I can't go past 85Hz. I can pay up to $600 through PayPal or Bitcoin.

PowerBook G4 17" High-Res SwitchResX Settings for 90Hz
These settings are for a custom resolution of 90Hz on 17" High-Res PowerBook G4s. Use SwitchResX to create a custom resolution with the below setting. I have only tried SwitchResX 3.8.7, but other versions of SwitchResX may work. This may work on other PowerBooks, but I have only tested it on my Hig...

Reccomend a 120Hz 16:10 monitor
My only criteria are that it must be 16:10 and 120Hz (or above 120Hz) at stock.

Re: Considering producing SED/FED monitors... Critique neede
as a crt tech lover, (specially for the motion clarity and non native resolution image scaling clarity) that sed technology sound very interesting to me. rabidz7, a question i have is: would it be posible to use those monitors at a refresh rate of 60hz? or the the refreshes you mentioned would be t...

Re: Considering producing SED/FED monitors... Critique neede
16:10 is better than 16:9 in every way, so I do not plan on producing 16:9 monitors. There is no advantage to 16:9, so there is no reason to use it. 16:9 displays really are just TVs passed off as monitors. The reason 16:9 became popular is because it is cheaper for display manufacturers to produce ...

Does LightBoost support 144Hz? Strobelight only lists up to 120Hz strobed.

Re: Sony FW900 or ROG Swift?
I can't even use G-Sync because I have a 290X. The FW900 can unofficially do 150Hz-200Hz at its 1024x640 and 60Hz-85Hz at 2880x1800. just noticed this - not sure where you're getting your info from, but I'm pretty sure the FW900 does not have the capability of going up to 2880x1800, and even if it ...

I'd rather have a FW900.
