Re: V-Sync ON/OFF when FPS < max Hz (+VRR)
The fallback sync technology (VSYNC ON or VSYNC OFF) never activates until there's a frametime faster than the highest Hz of the VRR range. So VRR+VSYNC OFF and VRR+VSYNC ON is perfectly identical in latency if the game's framerate cap is reliable. Be noted that some caps aim at frametime averaging...

Re: Placebo or a possibility? USB ports and mouse feel.
Yes, USB jitter is a big problem on some ports. During measuring, I've noticed crappy USB performance with latency surges to 4ms-timescales especially during hub contention. Often, the adjacent motherboard ports behave like a hub. That's a problem if you use the same ports for other devices, like a...

OT but why are you using Ultra LLM on that setup?
Surely you aren't GPU bound and getting 60-100FPS.

Re: CSGO feels like 60hz [Internet Latency Issues]
Taking advantage of this post, I come to talk a little about the similar problem I am having. Approximately 1 year ago, I started having a very strange problem in games like Battlefield 3 and 4. In the past 6 years, these were the games I played online. The problem described by the OP started on my...

Re: Questions about settings for lowest input lag.
Gsync just sync the screen with the game, it doesn't do anything to the sharpness. The motion will be smoother though. I find with my 240hz screen Gsync makes your mouse less 'snappy' and I can definitely feel the slight input lag it creates and I don't like it, with a 240hz screen even capping my ...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
If you are capping way under 240hz with Gsync on or off do you need to do it in multiples? With gsync you can cap to whatever you want. Without gsync, you'll get stutter pretty much with any cap, unless you use 1/N vsync (nvidia inspector) and cap to Hz/N (or Hz/N - 0.01 to reduce input lag.) I can...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Sorry for the thread resurrection.
If you are capping way under 240hz with Gsync on or off do you need to do it in multiples?
Say I'm averaging 90, is it ok to cap at 90 or do I need to cut down to a certain number?

Re: Cant solve input lag and FPS drops after 3 years.
I've had the same problem, my pc is running fine but the games are sluggish online and its basically impossible to accurately aim against other players. But playing an offline game like BF3 campaign its snappy and fast. Ping spikes and unstable ping and massive random bufferbloat. I just tried a new...
