Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
Hello, I just received my viper 8khz. It's configured at 8Khz but on testing sites such as: https://mouseinsider.com/mouse-polling-rate-checker/ I get max 5.6Khz and average 5Khz (doing circles). https://zowie.benq.com/zh-tw/support/mouse-rate-checker.html I get average 5Khz (doing circles). Is thi...

I don't think I found any actual photodiode yet. i've ordered some stuff from aliexpress, but it still hasn't come :D There are numerous photodiodes here: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/filter/optical-sensors-photodiodes/543 This one may be suitable and is cheap: https://www.digikey.com/en/pro...

What was your game framerate? Can you post a link to the high speed video?

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
Sensor framerate and sensor read frequency are two different things. Framerate would be how often the sensor takes and processes an image of the mousepad, sensor read frequency is how often the microcontroller reads position data from the sensor. You could have the sensor framerate at 20khz and onl...

Re: Does triple buffering add input lag?
With cap no, without cap yes. Assuming you're talking about an implementation that does not drop frames when more than one frame is finished rendering at the buffer flip.

I don't think bluetooth can do 8khz, but I'm sure you could do it with a custom dongle.
Are there any wireless mice that use IrDA?

So it's using a variant of USB full speed, with custom drivers, rather than hi-speed which is natively 8khz?

Re: Nvidia Reflex
So will this be something you can enable for games like ultra low latency or will it be something the devs can use to help reduce input lag? Pretty sure the game devs have to add it, I think it's functionally equivalent to using an in-game framerate cap, at least in terms of the mechanism by which ...
