Re: Why do Pro gamers not use G-Sync?
Some people probably use G-sync (or half the time, or a small percentage of time) and don't know it (Basically how 99% of the gamers 'use' G-sync, they don't set it up properly so its not active most of the time) Lets just say that most pro gamers just setup their sens, keybinds, resolution and be d...

Re: useplatformtick and/or disabledynamictick on mouse input lag
Best tip: Don't touch any of this, nor any HPET/ACPI BIOS setting. Next up: Remove any bcdedit entries that exist on this topic. (Some software tends to add or change these bcd entries by themselves where they shouldn't. I'm even surprised that random software like AMD even has the privileges to do ...

Re: Gaming VPN Experiences Thread [Help Internet Lag]
Looks like my phone edit never got through, actually mentioned that lol. But yeah basically the same when using a personal VPS, a Virtual KVM has way more jitter (Relative) than using a dedicated server where you can maximize latency/jitter (The most major defacto improvement is simply running the c...

Re: Gaming VPN Experiences Thread [Help Internet Lag]
A self-hosted (Dedicated) VPS server on a favorable location (With wireguard, superior to openvpn). Does that count as a VPN? :P My personal experiences with public VPN's: They are not reliable enough. Sure it can work days without issue, but hiccups, packet loss and dropouts DO occur. (Not actually...

Re: Why do Pro gamers not use G-Sync?
Even in best case, it still adds input lag. It looses its 'raw' response. Depending on the refresh rate it could be a few ms to like 5~10ms. I rather play at like double the fps of my screens refresh rate (aka 240 in game cap) and keep that as steady as possible to minimize tearing. (Force resolutio...

Re: Steam friends & Chat window causing micro stutter
Be wary of adjusting steam.exe priority etc because it will also affect any child processes from inhibiting the same rules (And subsequently games you launch through steam). (Same goes for explorer.exe when you start executable directly etc) Its safer to try on 'steamwebhelper.exe' which afaik are a...

Re: G-Sync Stops Working After Gaming For 3 Hours - Requires Computer Restart
No clue.
However, my G-sync stops working (Windowed anyway, for a few of my games) after an RDP session and only a reboot fixes it.
Suppose I can fiddle around with what graphics method is used and change to something more compatible.

Re: G-sync and clockplatform
Windows doesn't add useplatformclock/tick and dynamictick entries to the BCD by itself afaik, so some third party program that you've used/installed must have done that. If HPET is enabled (As in: accessible/available, not as in 'primary' or in 'use') in the BIOS (And this is usually the default), u...
