Re: New 120Hz Xbox One update (high refresh rate, Freesync)
The 120hz doesnt really do much for the console. Most games use vsync at 30 or 60hz. I mean if you use Edge browser alot, it might look smoother, other than that, if games are done properly, they will have a 30/60fps lock with dynamic res. Theres no need for freesync or 120hz support if devs do thei...

Re: EXCLUSIVE: We have a 480 Hz monitor!
Tbh- due to lack of overdrive, its only usable on PC at high refresh rates. For consoles at 60 hz you can then forget the monitor. Additionally, due to lack of HDMI 2.0 or higher, you wont even be able to use it with consoles like PS4 Pro / Xb1x. Lets hope some later revisions of this monitor come w...

Re: BenQ XL2730Z Firmware Update V002
It would be fantastic if someone could dump the Zowie firmware v005. @ Falken- isnt it possible to flash and dump with the Linux method on the XL2730Z? Im still on V01 on the XL2730Z and dont really want to send it in for flashing, because I dont trust them. Dont want to end up with a different moni...

Re: BenQ XL2730Z Firmware Update V002
There is no V005 firmware for the XL2730Z. I guarantee you there is. I saw it with my own eyes in the Zowie XL2730Z of my friend which is only 1-2 months old. You should pay closer Attention. The Benq Zowie Monitor of your friend is a XL2730 without a Z . It doesnt have Freesync, it has some new Ha...

Re: ASUS MG248Q
Yeah this monitor makes no sense, the panel is actually even older, since the first xl2420t had the same 144hz tn panel already. They just want to milk that old panel before new high dpi panels get released by AUO, which should be near the end of the year. The colors and ppi on that ancient 144hz au...

Re: Asus VG248QE Prototype - no Power switch or Standby mode
Its impossible to achieve a good result on this monitor with Gsync kit unfortunately (and even with the original hardware), which is why I sold that POS of a monitor. Dont get me wrong in terms of functions it works good, but the colors are a total mess at 120/144hz and especially with a gsync kit, ...

Re: Benq Blur Reduction on Xbox One?
Alright thanks Falken, I went ahead and purchased a used XL2420G. I got it for approx. the same price as a new XL2430T costs so around 400 eur. The reason I didnt go for a cheaper one is because I do want a solid and fast monitor and since I generally was satisfied with previous BenQs I had (xl2420t...

Re: Benq Blur Reduction on Xbox One?
Alright Falkentyne thanks for your very detailed answer. Yes I was around when CRT monitors were the only monitors available and my first pc monitor was a 15" or 17" lucky goldstar 1280x1024 @85 or 100hz I think :) Later I had a better 19" iiyama. One thing I still remember is that I couldnt use 60h...

Re: 200Hz Display review/questions
Ok I see. Can someone please test if you can connect a PS4 or Xbox One to this monitor using a HDMI-->DVI cable? Which are essentially 1080p Devices @ 60Hz. Also how many ppl were able to overclock this monitor to 240hz? Id only consider buying it if the chances are good to hit 200+ hz in overclock,...
