Re: 200Hz Display review/questions

Interesting news I was going to test what refresh rate exactly the screen would go black at, and found that, for some reason, I was no longer getting artifacts over 240Hz! I got NO artifacts at all up to 256Hz, and at 258Hz the screen finally would go black. Perhaps temperature IS an issue, because ...

Re: 200Hz Display review/questions

More data! Using a Kill-a-watt meter with the QNIX 2710 power supply on the QNIX 2414 75Hz = 27W 144Hz = 30W 192Hz = 33W 240Hz = 35W 240Hz (Displaying pure black) = 46W 240Hz (Displaying pure white) = 32W all with 50% power factor theoretical supply output? 12V * 5000 mA = 60W Though the supply is l...

Re: 200Hz Display review/questions

Finally got my QNIX 2414 in today! I got somewhat lucky with this panel I think. I'm semi-stable at a whopping 216Hz. The screen won't go white under normal conditions, though it has happened to me during a few loading screens while gaming. It takes less than a minute to go white when it's displayin...

Re: Self Teaching about Display Building/modding etc

i think it's too hard to modify firmware and easier will be to find source code then modify it and compile. Often the firmware is protected in such a way that it's basically impossible to read from the IC, and I don't think the source code is ever made public. Usually people get the firmware when a...

Re: 200Hz Display review/questions

Not sure how to test a power issue, but I doubt it. Also was able to use the windows calibrate display settings, basically when you increase you monitor to 200Hz you're also increasing the shit out of Gamma and Contrast to the point you make your contrast absolutely abysmal. I set the gamma via the...

Re: 200Hz Display review/questions

Have you tried testing to see if it's a power issue? The original power supply could be having trouble. You may also have to push the voltage up a tiny amount. It could also still be a temperature problem, but I do agree it's less likely given the evidence. Does anyone know what the maximum theoreti...

Re: ufotest as video file?

xsplit is a great option to record/screen capture. 1080p @ 60fps looks great.

I'd just hook up your computer to the TV though if you can, it'd be much easier.

Re: 10,000Hz LED monitor!

I found someone who has made a 64 by 64 RGB LED display capable of 480Hz (or 160Hz with 2-bit PWM).

http://www.limpkin.fr/index.php?post/20 ... t-it-again!

I'll continue doing more research.

Re: 10,000Hz LED monitor!

I also just considered the fact that you couldn't use PWM to control brightness for each individual frame. PWM at 10,000Hz and a frame rate of 1,000Hz would give you about 10 shades though.

Re: 10,000Hz LED monitor!

I got a response from the creator! :) "Hi, I have make a simple explanation of the fast LED screen. Please have a look, you can ask me if you have any questions. All the device is designed by myself. Regards, Zhong Yincheng " He then attached a PDF, which I've uploaded pictures of. (The entire PDF w...
