Re: upcoming display technologies that aren't sample-and-hold?

Yeah, I was disappointed that there's no BFI feature on the new QD-OLEDs. I have the AW3423DW and the panel is awesome compared to LCDs (I also have the AW2521H among others) but obviously the blur still exists and is significant. Here's to hoping that the industry wakes up and realizes that there's...

Re: eSports 1440p 360hz displays announced

1440p @ 360Hz is very welcomed although long overdue imo. For those of us that buy flagship GPUs (e.g. 3080s or better), 1440p displays leading to improved clarity without compromising refresh rate is a significant improvement . Unfortunately, these are still LCD panels that inherently have super sl...

Re: Rant/Education/Latency/Tips

[...] System latency is highly complex and variable when you don't lock down all variables. Re: Replace QPC to RDTSC Timer in games

It would certainly be nice to use RDTSC instead of QPC to further reduce overhead and latency but unfortunately, many of the popular competitive/multiplayer games will likely false-positively ban you for injecting an "unknown" .dll. So maybe this is worth doing on certain other single-player FPS gam...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

I'll be doing a deeper dive into the HID input stack to try and identify the design characteristics of games that can't tolerate high polling rates in upcoming releases of Special K. I've already integrated gamepad polling-based Reflex features, now it's time to put mouse input under the microscope...

The firmware changes absolutely nothing other than the start-up behavior, so I can't imagine why it would feel any different.
I updated a few days ago & it fixed the cold-boot enumeration/power-on issue. Thanks!

Has anyone been able to test the corsair 8k Hz keyboard? Corsair k65 mini?
I don't have the K65 mini or plan on getting it but I suspect that it's also true 4kHz scanning. As for 8kHz polling, I'm guessing it's real too. It's not difficult to implement.

Oh and btw, MouseDataQueueSize does make a difference..
what kind of difference are you experiencing
What you'd expect due to a smaller buffer. Feels more responsive / accurate and precise. Too low of a value can obviously lead to issues though.

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

well ok another way to phrase this : does disabling hpet damage/hurt anything? if not then it doesn't matter if it makes duplicate/fake fps, as long as it doesn't actually lower it. If that is cleared, then people can be confident to try it and see for themselves if stuttering is lowered or they ac...
