Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
[...]but I think synchronous mouse polling may become obsolete. We're a long way from it though, and possibly not even in my lifetime, but even 8KHz is still below retina refresh rate for some types of use cases. Absolutely. I semi-arbitrarily picked 8kHz because it's roughly an order of magnitude ...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
Speaking of innovation, could you imagine gaming in the future with something similar to the following (which is not all that unrealistic)? 128kHz+ polling for all forms of input 8kHz+ refresh rates + fast pixel response times Dedicated resources to isolate input system for consistent & optimized pe...

Re: LG 27GN950-B
But I'm now still let down, cause howiec said the monitor seems to not be that great. The info I shared about LG was indeed real though. Something to think about. Even my precious Sony company only makes parts for 5 years, I found out the hard way with my previous TV from them. Bottom line, is LG r...

Re: LG 27GN950-B
Thanks for the pics ! When you got a chance would love to see some when its up and running compared to the Asus. [...] When up and running and calibrated, etc.. do you feel the NanoIPS panel has proper color/contrast representation finally ? Like OLED ? At least compared to the Asus's normal IPS pa...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
I have used your discussion with the devs of this game(cloudpunk) and the post you made on here. To then pass forward as reference to some devs of other games that are currently in the process of attempting this (I'll update when I have new info, it's been about a month, but christmas + covid = not...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
The HD Mouse API would greatly raise developer attention to this issue, because any user squealing about wanting support for HD Mouse API means the developers are forced to read best-practices documents related to HD Mouse API -- including all the math hygiene need to preserve sensortime:photontime...

Re: LG 27GN950-B
Dope ! Send us pics. Weird what the others say - Glare ?? lol Thats something the screen specifically is designed not to do. Gotta be careful about reviews sometimes. Its competitors. Pics of my monitor setup? I took the 2nd one down and packed it because it's defective but here's a pic of the boxe...

Re: LG 27GN950-B
I have 2 of them right now. The 2nd one seems to be defective so I'm returning it. It was working at 4k 144Hz but now shows a blank screen for various resolutions and refresh rates, and severe corruption and flickering at 60Hz now. Seems like others have had their unit die on them too. It's pretty g...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
Nice, but what do you mean smoother? Like the camera movement is smoother when you do big movements? Turning/aiming with mouse in general looks smoother even at regular/moderate speeds (easier tracking and/or just motion clarity in general). I didn't really pay attention to super fast mouse swipes ...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.
So I kinda randomly ended up testing HPET disabled in BIOS , plus useplatformclock = Yes in Windows and found that this alone leads to major stutter in Apex Legends when moving the mouse quickly with 8kHz polling. Beware. I'm back to my normal, HPET enabled in BIOS + useplatformclock = No (or delete...
