Re: New low latency nvidia drivers
Their "just in time" technique sounds exactly like what my own vsync algo was doing. Really good for them. I had to do a lot of sophisticated math for frame estimation and sync timing which I doubt they did at all (so their algorithm will probably suck). But having a bad just in time technique is st...

Re: Wooting One keyboard tested against Logitech G Pro Keybo
How do you know they are lying? Do you think it’s likely that the apex pro and b975 (and their tkl version b930) will outperform the gpro? We know they're lying because there's a minimum latency of 0.5 ms caused by the USB polling, which can be taken downwards using sketchy techniques but still won...

Re: Wooting One keyboard tested against Logitech G Pro Keybo
I changed my mind about the Wooting One. I was noticing some issues, so I benchmarked it to get data. The Wooting One's electronics are not good. My Logitech G-Pro's electronics are better, although its binding wobble is still a major physical problem. Data: https://pastebin.com/qxVpgm9W Test method...

Re: Wooting One keyboard tested against Logitech G Pro Keybo
The Hall Effect keys in the Apex Pro should theoretically be better than Flaretech switches, and Wooting is exploring the same style (Lekker keys, to be released in 2020 or maybe never). Even then, their Lekker keyboard is planned in full size, and I don't want to make space for a full size keyboard...

Re: spacediver and ad8e public collaboration [reaction resea
Maybe it'll be easier if I build it, and I already own the necessary mouse. I think in two weeks I might have some time.

Re: spacediver and ad8e public collaboration [reaction resea
I've spent too much time today trying to overclock my other mouse (the one with higher cpi) to 1000 hz, as it's currently stuck on 125hz. No success. I can pick up this mouse for about $15 down the street: https://www.redragonzone.com/products/redragon-m601-centrophorus-3200-dpi-gaming-mouse That m...

Re: spacediver and ad8e public collaboration [reaction resea
The variance I'm speaking of is the noise away from the prediction. As an example, if you toss a ball in vacuum, your model will have zero variance because you can calculate its future position perfectly, even though its position variance will be high. Y-position will have the most variance but I do...

Re: spacediver and ad8e public collaboration [reaction resea
What it means is that the shape of the reject and accept regions will depend on the previous timepoints in strange and non-linear ways. With the info I gave, an approach that uses the velocity direction as an axis is almost certainly the optimal one, and will remove most of the strangeness and non-...

Re: spacediver and ad8e public collaboration [reaction resea
Thanks for taking the time here. Model bounds are generally holistic in some way, so when considering a new timepoint, you can't necessarily assume that all the previous timepoints were part of a downward sweep, even though you haven't thrown the "jerk started" flag yet. Some of those timepoints ma...

Re: Wooting One keyboard tested against Logitech G Pro Keybo
As a side note, my Wooting One fails to work if I use it to wake up my system, and must be unplugged and replugged... From what i have read, their customer support is great, they reply quickly and you can even submit ideas and suggestions. They also seem to be working on and constantly improving th...
