Re: G-Sync - Laggy at <55fps, same for you ???

So I guess there is no solution possible for mouse stuttering with low frame rates and gsync unless somehow they could figure out how to still update the mouse at 144hz even when the refresh rate of the monitor falls below 60 when using gsync yep theres no solution for this, because if the game run...

Re: G-Sync - Laggy at <55fps, same for you ???

Well dont get Nvidia wrong ppl, Gsync is indeed a massive improvement to vsync. And if youre playing games that are typically played with a controller, like TR 2013 @ 50fps for example, you will not have negative effects of the mouse stuttering and the image indeed will be much smoother and tearing ...

Re: G-Sync - Laggy at <55fps, same for you ???

I now know what OP meant actually. So with the Vsync and no-Vsync, the monitor is refreshing at 144 hz and the mouse pointer is refreshing at 144 hz, even if the game only has like 80 fps. The mouse pointer still looks smooth because it is refreshing at 144hz (while the game might run at 40 fps for ...

Re: G-Sync - Laggy at <55fps, same for you ???

The thing is, many games often use mouse smoothing, which in combination with different mouse polling rates like 500hz and 1000hz lead to stuttering even though the game runs at decent framerates. As an example some of UE3 based games introduce view stuttering when mouse smoothing is enabled, like M...

Re: 2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games

well unless its the game engine itself that is limiting the fps, I dont think its possible to limit fps via 3rd party software.. So I think the MSS also uses the driver level fps capping. But Im not quite sure about that, and the actual RSS dev would have to answer that question... Seeing how the ga...

2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games

So limiting the framerate in games seems to be required for Gsync in order to avoid additional Input Lag, that occures when the framerate reaches 144 fps. Some games offer this feature through the engine itself, like fps_max in Source based games. Some other games dont offer this fps limitation. So ...

Re: BenQ with Gsync

I wonder if Benq will offer more than one Display Port input with its hybrid engine design.

Also having this hybrid engine together with Gsync, I wonder if it will actually increase input lag at the end of the day.

Re: Any europeans using DIY G-Sync kit for Asus VG248?

Thanks for the answer mate, thats ofcourse really nice that I wont need a special psu. One more quick question- at 144 hz, the Asus has pretty washed out colors that are really hard to calibrate, how are the colors with the Gsync kit installed at 144 hz? Are they worse or the same or maybe slightly ...

Any europeans using DIY G-Sync kit for Asus VG248?

Hello guys,

so Ive decided to order the DIY kit through a friend in US and I assume the power supply is not compatible to the european power plugs.

Is anyone here using the DIY kit in europe and what Power Supply are you guys using that is compatible in your country?

Thanks in advance.
