Re: Interesting project about mouse/ gamepad latency

I'm not saying they are all cheaters. As do0om points out, there are players who have achieved it, including himself. A 160 ms population average can achieve 150 ms over five trials without much difficulty. The point is, if you know that the pool is tainted by cheaters up to 150 ms, it cannot be us...

Re: Interesting project about mouse/ gamepad latency

the human benchmark reaction time test The 150 ms results in their database are from cheating/guessing, there's no point in referencing them. Here's the quote from my article: If you look at the distribution, you can see that some people are performing at around 150 ms. These are probably younger f...

Re: flood's input lag measurements

Broom, in the link you provided, I don't see any difference between CSGO and CS 1.6 - both show an input lag of ~2 ms when framerate is uncapped.

Re: CRT Gateway EV700 Max Hz?

I'm not sure what's going on. This is one area of CRT operation that I used to know more about, and I was never that familiar with interlaced stuff to begin with.

It sounds like you're getting true 160 hz though (i.e. each field is being refreshed at 1/160th of a second).

Re: CRT Gateway EV700 Max Hz?

According to the specs you linked to, the max vertical scanning rate is 110 hz (and according to cnet, it's 120 hz). I don't think running in interlaced mode magically allows you to double this. The circuit that controls the vertical scanning is limited in how often it can direct the beam up and dow...
