Re: What settings for Asus VG259QM 240hz vs 160~fps

Thanks @sk1p I already have this monitor today and I was playing a lot with settings and gaming, it is actually insane, its like new age of fast IPS monitors with so fast response and low input lag, very good motion blur + 240hz. It is such upgrade for TN panels with bad colors, and you only lose li...

Re: Cap 144fps on 240hz monitor (NVCP Freesync (Alienware aw2518hf) + VSYNC ON and Latency Mode ON.

That's why it's good to have a 240Hz or 280Hz monitor even when gaming at only 90 or 100 frames per second; it delightfully lowers input latency of low frame rates if you use G-SYNC or FreeSync. You can use as much capping headroom as you wish. For G-SYNC and FreeSync, using caps-far-below-Hz to st...

What settings for Asus VG259QM 240hz vs 160~fps

Hello, I already bought this Asus version of 24 inch - VG259QM, I waitng for deliver for now. I really hope the version of VG259QM will not be worse compare to 27 inch (VG279QM ), because I already found that 27 inch has wider gamma. Hopefully thats only downside, I really want faster version like t...

Re: Vg259qm Vs XF252QM?

You can see the UFO motion tracking videos I have made here. ASUS VG279QM : https://youtu.be/9QppgikPeE8 ACER XN253QX : https://youtu.be/u4ZBBFFUwx8 (Asus -> Acer) : https://youtu.be/GzmsTDKsIVo Wait, what? Why the asus looks so clear??? I already ordered the VG259QM version (24 inch) because 1080p...

Re: New 1080p 240hz IPS monitors. LG 27gn750, MSI MAG251rx, Asus TUF vg279qm/vg259qm.

I already bought that ASUS VG259qm, for sure version of 24 inch is better for 1080p based on pixel scaling, no matter how far you lean or sit. +also if you check the tests: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/asus_tuf_gaming_vg279qm.htm Version of 27 inch doesnt also have 1 ms response time, well, ...

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)

Keep the screen 144. Custom profile is fine. Hard to say about the overdrive because it will look different when in gsync mode and while at 125fps (or maybe only when modulating). I personally set my monitor to have no ghosting. It's really complicated how screens work because there are so many dif...

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)

Thank you so much ELK, you are master, we should play together in COD mw and stomp the whole game. 8-) I am gonna use 125 fps cap inside the game, that means I will have 125hz If I believe, right? But still if this offers lowest input lag compare to cap fps in RTSS at 141, then I am gonna use it. :)...

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)

I'm leaving non VRR monitors out of this XD. Vsync should be enabled in the NVCP and disabled in-game for options that have gsync/vsync enabled. gsync/vsync disabled, NULL, in-game fps cap to keep gpu under 90%. +Lowest possible input lag -Tearing and poor consistency -Can look stuttery !This is th...

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)

Alright so fps limiter in game is bugged, fps exceed the refresh rate anyway (i saw when I turned the fps statistic in game) - but didn't see their exceed on RTSS info, weird.. I am not sure If i understand correctly, thats why I will wait for the answer. But for now Im using only 1090 scanline in R...
