Re: micro-stutter related to eye strain?
I don't get anything like that. I'm on a 27" monitor and when playing games, my eyes are between 45-50cm (18-20") away from the screen. First things first, let's determine which is which: - eyestrain caused by microstutter (e.g. microstutter triggering nausea) - microstutter caused by eyestrain (e....

Re: Ryzen vs Intel Input Lag/Latency
My question is, are the x3d chips more responsive than regular ryzen cpus? I constantly hear how the x3d are smoother/more fluid even at the same frame rates, etc no. I went from i5 3330 to a 5700x3d and oddly enough my i5 3330 seemed more responsive than the 5700x3d. I couldn't stand it and had to...

Re: Display Hot Keys - Instantly apply display settings with hot keys!
As a result of being pretty new to this field, I'm not sure how many of your suggestions that I can implement, but I will certainly try my best to implement some of them! I was going to initially add HDR / SDR selection to hot key slots, but I decided not to because Windows already has a native hot...

Re: Latency decreases after switching mouse dpi. Why?
He clearly says this happens on every mouse he’s tried, not one particular one, also it does it in bios, so that rules out any Windows/os assumptions Trying all mice is not proof yet. Therefore I still deem a far better than 50-50 chance this is not electrical related. Proof #1 that your claim of e...

no. I went from i5 3330 to a 5700x3d and oddly enough my i5 3330 seemed more responsive than the 5700x3d. I couldn't stand it and had to buy a 12600k to see if it was really a difference in platforms or the old processors were more responsive due to having less RAM latency, less bios settings, etc....

Re: intel x amd inpug lag.
To get great low lag on AMD systems (lower IPC numbers, better low-thread-count game performance), try temporarily turning off half or three-quarters of the cores temporarily for games that don't require many threads. You can also use utilities that temporarily turn off cores when specific software ...

Wrong forum area, moved.
Discussion of EMI (including legitimate solutions) should be in the other forum area.

Re: Fixed my frame skipping, input lag, mouse on ice issue after 5 years of utter agony
Another placebo solution. Nope. Not necessarily placebo. For example there's input lag in non-VSYNC-OFF non-FSE situations. esports uses VSYNC OFF in Full Screen Exclusive. Apples versus bananas! Sync settings (VSYNC ON, OFF, VRR, borderless, DWM, etc) can make lag appear and disappear. Some sync t...

Re: Display Hot Keys - Instantly apply display settings with hot keys!
Version 1.3.2 has been released! Thank you for releasing this utility! This is a great addition to a high-refresh-rate utility suite such as TestUFO, ToastX, SmoothFrog, MouseRate, etc. For more than 5 years, I had aspirations to release a Blur Busters Refresh Rate Tool similar to this, though I ne...

Re: are CRT monitors really better?
So with strobed lcds and bfi oleds are we there? Close? Half way? I ask because theres the possibility of acquiring a big ass hd crt locally. [Focussing only on motion clarity aka motion resolution, not other metrics like blacks, brightness, retro-friendly CRT texture, etc] More than halfway. Actua...
