Re: Pursuit Camera Tests (Peer Reviewed)
Thanks, great paper! Short and to the point. Pcmonitors.info and Sweclockers.com also use the pursuit camera UFO tests btw. Yes, pcmonitors.info also credit Blur Busters too here and they also post some really nice pursuit camera images: http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/G2460PF...

Re: Techradar - Asus ROG Swift PG258Q "review"
It's actually surprising to see 144Hz have less strobe crosstalk than 100Hz. I guess they don't extend the length of the blanking intervals optimally at lower refresh rates -- done properly, the lower refresh rates should have had less strobe crosstalk.

Re: Techradar - Asus ROG Swift PG258Q "review"
Thanks for posting this! <GEEK STUFF> These motion blur photographs are pursuit camera photographs , the most accurate way of taking photographs of display motion blur. They use the Blur Busters pursuit camera technique that I invented, and is found in a peer-reviewed paper/presentation (check out t...

Re: G-sync + V-sync (Frametime stabilization)
VSYNC ON does input lag, though it does stable frame times by its own nature -- the VSYNC timing forces a fixed wait-time period regardless of frame times. Are you 100% sure on that one? There's many games out there that seem to render more frames while the current frame is still waiting for the vb...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
Is new method the one I wrote? Because I am very unhappy with the results as I have written earlier. Yeah, it's apparent that the trick isn't working as intended. It's not worth using -- GSYNC-only or strobe-only looks much better than this non-properly-functioning mode. Only the Dell seems to be d...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
Hmmm... I wonder if variable-rate strobing will work if I used LightBoost instead of ULMB . Both are strobed modes that works nearly identically, with some minor differences -- slightly different overdrive settings -- and slightly different strobing logic. The ACI27F8 trick (rename device in ToastyX...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!
Hmmmm. I am going to try this on the ASUS PG278Q, which I have sitting on my desk. EDIT: - 2558x1440 works in GSYNC mode or ULMB mode (either). - Perfectly scaled, just 2 vertical columns of pixels missing at the edge of screen. - I'm having trouble forcing 3D mode to trick both to run concurrently....
