getting A new monitor - XL2546K or PG259QN
hi guys, I currently own VG248QE and XL2540. I mainly play CS:GO, but nowadays even more of CoD4:ProMod - that is capped to 250FPS(!!!) on CS:GO there's this new tendency to cap it to 400fps for the new 360Hz lineup I guess. but with CoD's 250 cap, would I benefit from 360hz at all? or only in CS? a...

Re: A question concerning FPS & refresh rate relation
Most online guides recommends to use Display scaling. Most online guides don't have a clue what they're talking about  They just tell people to enable display scaling in the driver control panel, and that will give them display scaling. Except it doesn't. The GPU will driver will not allow...

Re: A question concerning FPS & refresh rate relation
This was true before. But.... I've now seen it happen both ways. GPU scaling can become more lagless than monitor scaling now. The best GPU can scale faster than the slower-scaling monitors. Scaling can be done in a scanline-buffered way. No framebuffer delay needed. In theory, either side (GPU or ...

Re: A question concerning FPS & refresh rate relation
https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/63fafl/gpu_scaling_vs_display_scaling_input_lag/ Theory in this thread makes statement. I think that guy argues right, speaking of framebuffers with low and high resolution, it really should be done at driver level, and looks like it really should add latenc...

Re: A question concerning FPS & refresh rate relation
And also, A quick question on a slightly different subject, Ive heard on this forum and other sites online that GPU scaling adds input lag? (also heard it was some SPECIFIC driver version related but not quite sure) and is Display scaling actually superior to GPU? its just that only with GPU scalin...

Re: BENQ XL2540 Having trouble with VT tweaks
well I downloaded chrome (without even enabling Aero) and the tests worked at all refresh rates. If you want to be sure, enable Aero. It's just a click. Why are you unwilling? We're only trying to help here. I already succeeded with the tests, which displayed every desired refresh rate (for me 180/...

Re: BENQ XL2540 Having trouble with VT tweaks
well I downloaded chrome (without even enabling Aero) and the tests worked at all refresh rates. I noticed that best looking settings are INTENSITY 20-25 (whatever works for u and not too dark) Im on 20 anything above is pretty dark for me, and like AREA 15, should remove the ghosting from MOST of t...
