Re: Desk Setup Thread! [POST YOUR PICS]

ah well they just announced it. 3900x is the launch flagship 12 core 4.6ghz boost with 64mb l3 cache. yes thats right 64mb They are advertising ~1% better single thread performance vs the 9900k. Probably this is without overclocking taken into account. Given that zen1 did not overclock well I still ...

Re: Desk Setup Thread! [POST YOUR PICS]

I'm not sure about zen2 either. There are a few ways it could play out. 5ghz is probably optimistic for a 12 core all core turbo. Not to mention the 16 core version. But it will probably be close. And in a recent comparison a 2700x matched an 8700k when they were clocked equally. So an increase in i...

Wow the quoted ave response time on that VG248QG is 1ms. If that's true its an insanely good competitive monitor.

Re: Motion blur fortnite asus rog swift pg258q

It was used for season 1 of overwatch league. It has very good response times as measured by tftcentral. Some people here who have tried multiple 240hz have identified ones they prefer for pure competitive edge. And there are even some that do strobing at 240hz offering even less motion blur. But al...

If that price is in chinese yuan then its 1,500 usd. Not sure cause it has the $ sign. $10,500 would be well above what I am willing to pay.

Re: Poll- What is your prefered monitor size for FPS gaming?

I play overwatch mostly for competitive games. My rank is usually plat to masters depending on how much I play. If I play at least a couple hours a day I make it to masters in a few weeks and if I stop playing and come back I usually have trouble getting above 50% wr at 3000 sr. I don't seem to be l...

Re: Poll- What is your prefered monitor size for FPS gaming?

I would prefer 27. I keep my 25 quite close and believe it's probably healthier to focus farther away. However the 25 appeared to be the best all-around 240hz when I bought mine and I'm waiting for a nice looking 0.5ms before I buy another.

Re: Desk Setup Thread! [POST YOUR PICS]

Very nice. I can do 5 ghz and 4.6 cache at 1.36v with -2 but I usually run 4.8 at 1.275v 4.5 cache -2. Its pretty average for a 9700k. I just always wanted to try a big air cooler and I got my wish the thing barely fits. Later this year will be interesting for cpus with zen maybe catching up on sing...

It works better than the standalone mic I've tried. And it lets me use my Quadbeat 3 earbuds with my FiiO A3. To be honest with two p...

Re: Apex Legends Optimal Settings for 240hz G-Sync Monitors

you may want to try setting your short and long power limits to something higher than stock. the default setup for that cpu is a short term power limit above 95w and a long term limit of 95w. so under heavy loads the cpu will hit the short term power limit and then throttle back down to maintain 95w...
