Re: Asus XG248Q 240hz - Got one! My impressions
This is without a doubt one of the top competitive gaming monitors. Probably only the BenQ ones are comparable (just a guess). The upcoming MSI NXG251 is expected to be even better, but it certainly won't be available for 339  when it comes out, so congrats! That's a really good price for this...

For one-screen-width-per-second horizontal panning motion, measured in the length of TestUFO blur trailing size behind moving UFO objects: --> 1024x768 60fps motion -- motionblurs 1024/60ths screenwidth (motion blur trail length of 17 pixels -- roughly 17x blurrier than stationary graphics), 17:1 d...

Re: RTSS now has new automatic Low-Lag VSYNC ON (raster base
Wonder if this is even worth messing around with on my 120 Hz 4K Mango that basically has my 2080 Ti maxed out. Or just stick with the -.007ms frame cap V-Sync on RTSS method. It seems to be working pretty good.

Ugg, 1080p. I wish there were more news on the 0.5 ms 2560x1440 240 Hz panels.

Re: 120hz 4k Tv
Since TV's don't "do" Displayport, HDMI 2.1 is required for 4K/120. Zero sign that HDMI 2.1 will make it into 2019 sets, I'm 90% on 2020.

Re: 4k 144hz release date
I haven't seen any DP 1.4 displays use DSC.
Any anyway, at least for gaming, dropping down to 4:2:2 to do HDR 10-bit at 144 Hz 4K really isn't that big of a deal. I can't even tell the difference on my X27.

Re: BenQ XL2740 - 27” 1080p - 240hz - Should I wait?
I've been thinking abut trying one of these monitors to see what 240 Hz strobing looks like. But is the general consensus that there is too much strobe cross-talk at 240 Hz (actually causing a reduction in motion clarity) to make it worthwhile?

Re: Acer X27: Linus Shows Off New 4k 144hz Panel/Monitor
I haven't seen anything that states the ASUS version will have ULMB. In fact since this panel and G-Sync chip were worked on heavily by NVIDIA I am almost positive it won't.

Acer X27: Linus Shows Off New 4k 144hz Panel/Monitor
I verified that HDMI does show the BIOS screen. So even those that can't boot/see the BIOS using the DP have a backup. I also watched Oblivion 4K Blu-Ray via the new HDMI 2.0 port on the G-Sync module. HDR seems to work properly but the blooming is quite apparent. Especially when bright objects are ...
