Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

Doesn't work.
I added in detailed resolutions.
In extension blocks CEA-861 there is the 1920x1080 164.917 Hz.
I didn't dare to touch that.

That one, ghosting, blur. Read somewhere that 1/4 of second is needed.

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

I don't think that's possible. The drivers (wich you cannot install) are the ones that make FreeSync work so even if you can enable it in the monitor it wouldn't do anything because there is no way to communicate with the video card. In fact, I disabled G-Sync compatibility in Nvidia drivers to try ...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

Previously you used it at 120hz right? That may be the reason why it was worse than now at 165hz. A lot of monitors are not optimized for anything different from their actual out of the box refresh rate. For example, most 144hz monitors are really bad at 60hz. Maybe this model is not as good at 120...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

ELMB creates a double image. Useless piece of crap.
Don't know why Asus even bothered implementing this if it doesn't work.

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

Notty, I can assure you that my monitor with TraceFree 60 is perfect and exactly the same as 40. At TF 100 in ufo ghosting test there is overshoot at the top and middle background but I have to get close to the monitor and pay attention to it. I do this with my eyes, not a camera. And in games I hav...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

To me the fact you notice web scrolling having problems tells me enough :p Because you will notice it in games sooner or later, it will depend on the games colours and how bright they are. For example on Apex I would notice a terrible effect on a rope/zipline deployed by pathfinder. On Black Ops 4 ...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

Got a Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1060 6GB. I can happily say that this monitor is amazing. The overshoot i was seeing with an old card trough hdmi is gone. The only thing i can notice now (being close to the monitor and paying attention to it in desktop) is the mouse cursor getting a thin black border o...
