Re: Benq Xl2411Z, covered in red pixelation when enabling 14
That's the type of artifacting you can get when you push monitor overclocking too far. I couldn't say what else might be causing it. It definitely shouldn't be happening on a retail 144Hz monitor in either case.

Re: G-SYNC no longer capping frames at 144 when in Windowed?
That's just the way the drivers function. There's a separate option to enable G-sync in widowed mode in the drivers though I have no idea how well it works. It's been in the drivers for a while now but I haven't been able to test it since my PC never runs widowed mode games smoothly so even G-sync c...

You'd be surprised how often interlacing is still used. I still see video game trailers by the largest publishers displaying interlacing artifacts or stutter due to poor quality deinterlacing.

Re: G-Sync game compatibility - Post your test results here
It could be a lot of things and is often specific to certain hardware configurations. I generally put it down to some sort of problem with the game engine. I know that some engines behave poorly when the rendering thread is hitting a CPU bottleneck which is quite common.

Re: Consistent tearline at top of screen with G-sync [bug?]
You're the first person I've found whose had the same problem as me, or at least the first person to have noticed it. My best guess is that it's a minor timing issue with the display output.

Re: Consistent tearline at top of screen with G-sync [bug?]
When I upgraded to a GTX 970 the problem disappeared. It seemed to be a problem with my old GTX 760, rather than the drivers or monitor. I would suggest swapping your two cards to see if the problem lies with your current primary. I never did figure out what specifically caused the problem. I wouldn...

Re: Acer announces 144hz IPS 1440p G-SYNC! [XB270HU, XG270HU
I've tried 3 or 4 of those "color keeper" programs and haven't had a single one function for any game I have tested. Games that change the desktop color settings seem to be pretty rare, mostly games running on id Software engines in my experience though I'm not sure I've tested any of those.

Re: Acer announces 144hz IPS 1440p G-SYNC! [XB270HU, XG270HU
As far as I'm aware, none of those "color keeper" programs actually work in the way we'd expect them to. They may retain the color profile on the desktop, but in fullscreen mode games still use their own color settings. The only way to retain your color profile is to run the game in windowed / borde...

Re: Why aren't gamers worshipping at the altar of strobing?
I've only tried ULMB briefly, but the inconsistent ghosting really bothered me. It feels like the strobing actually makes it worse on the top and bottom of the screen and isn't worth the extra sharpness in the middle for me. Even if it didn't have this problem, I find G-Sync to be a far larger impro...

Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
is there a surefire way to figure out the native dpi of a mouse/sensor? It's very difficult information to find in my experience. Your best bet would be to try to find out the exact sensor model in the mouse and look that up, rather than the mouse itself, though I'm not sure if specs for mouse sens...
