Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

I feel as though people are having overreactions more so to spending $900 rather then the product itself. Still curious if anyone notices what a big difference OD makes rather then ULMB? Maybe I got a bad panel? Switching from normal to esports or extreme is very noticeable in fast paced games like ...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

So I got mine yesterday and somethings I've noticed. The orange/yellow hue people are talking about surrounding text when you scroll is there, but it's also present in game when looking at very fast moving things, like in Overwatch. It's like they're trailed by a yellowish outline when moving around...

Bad thing is that the monitor needs DSC enabled for all resolutions above 360hz
I don't even know why this monitor is DP 1.4 instead of 2.0, let alone HDMI 2.1. Given it's price point that shouldn't have been on the cutting board.

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

in the process of returning two of these due to broken pixels in the middle of the screen. broken pixels aside, the monitor is seriously underwhelming, buggy and missing crucial competitive gaming features I guess only BenQ cares enough to offer. at least the refresh rate was impressive. oh and the...

Did you notice any ghosting when setting the overdrive to normal? no review mentions ghosting with this setting
Or at all really, especially with BFI on.

Re: What causes a 500Hz mouse to sometimes report at 250Hz or 125 Hz?

This is caused by a update to the USB stack this summer in W11, where they enabled USB polling coalescing in addition to preventing background apps from trying to query the mouse when they don't have priority. Packets will show up as a lower polling rate because they're coming in less frequently, bu...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

Been waiting 9 months for this. Be aware there is a competing model, the Acer Nitro XV242F, which wont have Gsync, but still has the same panel. The 500hz Alienware monitor was a joke. Please upvote on Rtings to get a review for it: https://www.rtings.com/review-pipeline/monitor Same for the XV242F ...

Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering

Newbie here, Is it advisable to do this even though my drivers are 10.0.2261.1928 for USBXHCI.sys? The guy that responded to me posted a batch 'fix' that has nothing to do with what we're discussing here as far as I could tell by reading through the changes it's doing. It's just a shotgun fix for g...

Re: someone fixed netcode and even hitreg and desync just by ram timings...

Another it depends. Memory kits are all made for specific timings to run at and run best at. One kit will have different timings then another kit, so duplicating his timings on another kit not only probably wont work, it's a good way to make instability in your system. If your kit isn't completely s...

Re: [PSA] Audio enhancements cause big interrupts to process latency

Depending on your card, you don't want to enable MSI mode for it. It can cause popping, crackles, or audio dropouts. MSI mode isn't a silver bullet and depends entirely on your system. Sound cards in particular sometimes really don't like it. My guess is audio enhancements depends entirely on the dr...
