Re: G-Sync + V-Sync input lag confusion
I think I got it. V-Sync + G-Sync input lag is bad only if FPS reaches max refresh rate? On 144Hz display at 1440p, even with GTX 1080 To and max graphics settings, in demanding games, its a very unlikely scenario. Most games have FPS limiters these days, but I heard they aren't as good as those tha...

Re: Pre-rendered frames etc. (continued from G-Sync 101 arti
Therefore setting Max pre-rendered frames to 1 on a G-Sync + V-Sync + FPS limiter would only reduce FPS\performance, but not reduce input lag. Is that correct?

G-Sync + V-Sync input lag confusion
I recently re-read the G-Sync review and technology explanation, but I was still confused regarding input lag addition/increase when comparing G+Sync + V-Sync (double buffering) and V-Sync-only (double-buffering) with G-Sync disabled entirely. AFAIK, in fullscreen exclusive mode, at 60fps/hz, enabli...

Re: VG248QE, how to tune
Interesting. Do most monitors have internal LUTs? I'm pretty sure mine don't, but they're CRTs. Another cool thing about LUTs is that they can be specified with up to 16 bit precision, and I believe Nvidia at least supports 10 bit LUT precision in their DACs. That means that if you have a 10 bit di...

I see it dither! It does reduce gradation of my calibrated LUT!

Eizo Foris FG2421 - 8bit + 2bit dither over DP?
Is that the case? The specs list a higher number of possible colors for Eizo Foris FG2421 when used with Display Port. I assume that means it is 8but + 2bit FRC, correct? Is there a specific way to test for it? True 10bit requires specific software and setup, but 8bit + 2bit FRC doesn't AFAIK. I hop...

Re: G-Sync - smooth, but still blurry?!
Yeah, that is what I though. Does G-Sync add/reduce input lag? Do you have to have V-Sync enabled with it or does it automatically for you to enable it?

G-Sync - smooth, but still blurry?!
I was checking out more of G-Sync and realized that while it prevents stutters and such, the image can go from clear to blurry, depending on the framerate. Does that not get in the way of the whole experience if you have medium/low-end hardware? It doesn't work with G-Sync, so even at 120fps, the im...

Re: Eizo FG2421 -- [Turbo240 is EIZO equivalent of lightboos
I remember you mentioning that @ 60Hz, FG2421 double-strobes. Doesn't it also double-strobe @ 120/240Hz? That is the reason why it isn't as nice & clear as LightBoost @ 10%, isn't it? Some people actually complained the method of backlight strobing this monitor uses is very old and rather crappy in...
