Re: Is it normal to see these horizontal lines?

I just got an IPS 240hz monitor and I'm pretty sure I'm seeing what you are describing. It is ghosting the image on the screen, like I said above its not actually a line you are seeing its ghosting the text but moving quickly its cutting through the next line of text so it looks like a line cutting...

Acer xb271hu - Text doubling, Horizontal lines issue

I have edited and added horizontal lines to this image to make it appear how I see it. https://i.imgur.com/bGtCSBz.png What you see above isn't screen tearing, Vsync is forced on globally in the Nvidia Control Panel, and I don't see this issue appear when gaming with gsync, edit - but it does seem t...

Acer xb271hu - Behind image gray artifact when fps drops below refresh rate

Hi, There's a strange issue going on with my Acer xb271hu monitor (144hz Gsync IPS panel) which shows up when gaming, both with or without Gsync enabled. When the monitor is set to 144hz, If the framerate drops below 144fps, (example steady 120fps with 120fps cap) there are faint gray lines that app...

Have you tried disabling ULPS(with the registry editor or Msi Afterburner)?
Is that similar to setting Nvidia's profile to prefer maximum performance? I haven't heard of ulps before.

Re: Graphic card p-states, screen stutters

Graphics and CPU power states can have an effect. The p-state changes can have realtime latency-change and stutter effects, indeed. This is normally not a problem in most games, but a low-GPU game capped at a low framerate can cause this, as well as things like desktop web browsing too. This is ver...

Graphic card p-states, screen stutters

Hi Blurbusters, When I'm scrolling the web (any web browser) or using google maps in the browser, the screen stutters each time my GPU core clocks boost from low to high speed. The memory and core clock speeds of my 2080ti keep jumping to 1350/1750, with the smallest amount of activity, such as scro...

Use steam overlay so that you don't have to tab out.
Good idea, thanks.

Screen 144hz, Gsync enabled, Vsync disabled, Cap set to 120fps, screen tearing

Hi all, Over the last couple of months I have been seeing lots of stuttering in Destiny 2's lobby. This never used to happen. It doesnt happen elsewhere, only in the Tower. Exploring planets, in orbit, in strikes, Gambit, Crucibal My framerate will fluctuate from 75-120fps (120fps cap), there are no...

144hz, Gync, when i receive a steam message..

Heya, Im using an xb271hy 144hz gsync screen. Just one monitor. In some games, when a steam notification comes through, steam lets me know by placing an icon on the taskbar, and it blinks orange - which is normal. But as soon as that message arrives, the game im in feels like it loses gsync, as the ...
