Re: BENQ XL2720Z 27" of goodness :)

I had to deal with Benq once before when an older 24" monitor crapped out on me just barely under warranty. Long story short, some of their CS reps are complete idiots and some are good to deal with. If the person you get wont work with you request a supervisor, if that wont work hang up and call a...

Re: ASUS VG248QE G-Sync Edition Retail

Metro: Last Light was one of the main games Nvidia was showing off the G-Sync tech at PDXLan in November when I got to see it. I definitely noticed a difference between 60fps vsync and g-sync, but it was more in the effect of lower input lag than fixing stutter, since that is what v-sync is for anyw...

Re: ROLL CALL: Who uses LightBoost=10%?

I don't have a Lightboost monitor, but my friend who is an avid gamer uses it when he plays competitively, but turns it off most other times, due to the poor colors.

Don't count on it being too much cheaper, maybe $75 or so. Really depends though, but that's my guess.

But do remember that upgrading your monitor to a G-Sync model will be seen as a much better visual improvement than if you were to purchase a new graphics card.

Hey, America!

Image

whoops

Seriously though, most people won't see the effects directly affect them. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't still be concerning. I wish more people cared, or were educated on matters like this.

Re: Successful Overclock 60Hz -> 180Hz of Laptop LCD!

I know you posted the model of the laptop, but DV7 is just a series, and has a few generations to it. Would you mind posting the full model number? If not at the bottom right of the screen, it should be on the bottom of the laptop. I'm considering getting one of these to mess around with myself if I...

Oh good! I checked their site too, but didn't see it there either, but that link shows it's sourced straight from Seiki, so they should be legit.

Re: DIY kits are now available!

It comes with a regular displayport cable, you'll need to get a small converter to go from mini-dp to regular size, or just buy a new cable with mini on one side.

My rose tinted glasses are tainted once more! Was there a possible date to be looking forward to for the new models?
