Can you comment on BLB, clouding, and uniformity if you get a chance? Thanks

Re: First sub 1ms monitors are comming out
Im gonna be really mad if it turns out they're barely any better then xl2546, i've been waiting since august, i could have been playing on high hz mbr monitor for months :( I wouldn't sweat it, the first gen 240hz 24.5" weren't that great and more time is only better for manufactures to start perfe...

Re: Asus XG248Q 240hz - Got one! My impressions
I really wanted to sidegrade/upgrade to this monitor from my 27GK750F so I could get the better pixel overdrive, input lag and possibly backlight strobing characteristics, but all the talk of poor image quality and garbage uniformity has turned me off. Hopefully LG themselves release a 23.8" 240Hz ...

Re: First sub 1ms monitors are comming out
I''ve never even seen a high refresh rate semi-glossy. The 165Hz IPS ones from AUO are semi-glossy. I have one of those. I can see diffused reflections very clearly on it. On my full-matte monitors I cannot see reflections as such, just diffuse lights and blobs with no shape. An interesting thing w...

Re: First sub 1ms monitors are comming out
Wait, is the new MSI a glossy coating? If it is, might be the first glossy high refresh rate monitor. I''ve never even seen a high refresh rate semi-glossy. I actually use to have a semi-glossy IPS and loved it, makes the colors pop a lot more. I'd take a semi-glossy coating over matte any day of th...

Re: Asus XG248Q 240hz - Got one! My impressions
That said, $350 for a 240Hz G-Sync display is a steal even if it's the same as current equivalent monitors. I pulled the trigger and should have the monitor in the next few days. https://us.msi.com/monitor/Oculux-NXG251R.html Oh, nice! Please give us a rundown of what you think when you get it if y...

Re: Asus XG248Q 240hz - Got one! My impressions
t has the typical TN clouding column Clouding "columns" aren't typical, or we'd call them columns not clouds. I didn't see that problem on any other 240hz I've tried, only the ASUS. Just warning others before they buy. Maybe an english grammar problem :D What I mean is that it has clouding of...

Re: First sub 1ms monitors are comming out
The MSI site is also not advertising 0.5ms, it's now listed as 1ms - https://us.msi.com/monitor/Oculux-NXG251R.html So if you wanted to try lower response times, might be a bit risky buy. Really weird that they advertised it as 0.5ms at all their events leading up to the launch, then release and it'...

Re: Asus XG248Q 240hz - Got one! My impressions
I exchanged two of these, and while I loved the performance, they both had horrid clouding and I got my money back: https://i.imgur.com/jrDxe0jm.jpg And there is another user reporting same issue on the same thread I posted my image. I guess if doesn't bother you, it's a solid monitor, but for me, n...
