Re: Using a HDMI 2.1 TV as a monitor [Cheap 4K 120Hz G-SYNC OLEDs]
Great post Chief! I think you are combining the CX with the C9 of last year, but I don't think that's the same TV. I haven't seen that TV dip below 1490 ever for example. The comments section seems to imply that the C9 can only do BFI up to 60hz while the CX can go 120. Also, I am not just intereste...

Using a HDMI 2.1 TV as a monitor [Cheap 4K 120Hz G-SYNC OLEDs]
LG OLED CX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9n8Hz_RLqw&ab_channel=LinusTechTips I have been curious about this for a while now. The best HDR monitors currently are the TVs. They also have the best contrast ratio. And at a 120hz, they are pretty nice in terms of speed, even if they aren't blazing fa...

Re: Nvidia Reflex
Honestly, so long as nvidia implements it well, they have enough information to get ms accurate measurement of latency. It will need to be independently verified of course, but they have all the information to be able to display accurate frame times. Anyway, proof is in the pudding for how much late...

2019 LG C9/B9/E9 now support GSYNC
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6M85rboYy0 https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/g-sync-compatible-2019-lg-tv-available-now/ These TVs are unbeatable for gaming now imo. I don't see anything else I could really want on it (aside from the fast-sync thing developed by blurbusters). The only probl...

https://www.cnet.com/news/are-dual-lcds-double-the-fun-new-tv-tech-aims-to-find-out/ Looks like they are trying to get the first 4K dual stack here in 2020. Honestly, I am hoping they could provide a 65" for under 2000 (OLED starts at 2500), but we will see. @TheChief How bad is the off-angle viewin...

Re: New NVIDIA driver: Integer scaling, anti-lag, and more
Forgive me if I am not understanding this, but I am a little lost. I am translating pre-rendered frames to "buffered frame." IE, double buffer, triple buffer in the VSYNC on. I thought the whole point of buffering was that you can have a frame "in stock" if the new frame isn't done by the time the m...

Re: New NVIDIA driver: Integer scaling, anti-lag, and more
It sounds the same as scanline sync to me. Is there a difference?
