Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

OK, of course doesn't have to be exactly 160-180Hz, was just giving an example that would be okay to me. So you're saying 182Hz should give me a reasonable crosstalk free experience? I don't only want to be crosstalk free at the middle of the screen, my mind will automatically go look for the issue...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

As long as it's capable to produce a good result (crosstalk wise) using Blur Reduction at 160~180Hz or so range I'm interested. The lower refresh rate setting might even be more suitable for my specs as well. That particular range does not cope well with increasing vertical total for some strange r...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Can someone quickly comment if the Blur Reduction sticks when turned on at the service menu or if it at least sticks if not turning off monitor and only letting it go to sleep (that's okay for me as I never turn off my comp anyway). I didn't quite get it from here if only the factory menu (hold 4+5...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Any reason BenQ didn't enable Blur Reduction mode but why did they keep it in the service menu? I don't get it. No GSYNC or Blur Reduction made me totally ignore this monitor but with blur reduction (equals to ULMB right?) it slightly interests me. If it can't cope with 240Hz, at least give us as h...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Big thanks for that reply. So if I interpret this correctly, Ill have to experiment with that AREA value... Currently i use 240hz VT to the highest possible value under 600mhz and it runs very smooth, i put the intensity value at 25...hope that is good (i have no problems with the lower brightness)...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Ye there is something weird going on from 151hz to 180hz. You should try 150hz area 100 with 1900 vt looks great aswell.

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

So...? I still don't know which Area/ intensity settings are preferable to minimize motion blur etc. e.g. best picture quality with lowest input. Thanks in advance Nobody really knows at this point and there is no best setting for what you ask. General logic dictates that the longer you let the pix...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

It's still a shame it can't single strobe lower than 100hz (50hz, 60hz, 85hz is a no-go) :( I really would like to buy a new monitor... Even if it could I would never use that at that refresh rate too much input latency and flickering for me. I like it at 200hz though big improvement over the 100hz...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Can anyone comment on the effectiveness of enabling ULMB from the hidden service menu? Someone has said it works and someone has said its bugged. It works its not buggy at all I think even the intensity setting works but the differences are so small its almost unnoticeable. The thing is at 240hz yo...
