Re: 240hz contrast trick
240hz + Gsync + 100 brightness + 20 contrast. AW2518h feels amazing, hardly any ghosting on super fast overdrive. I did 0 contrast for a bit and I noticed it was way too dark

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
So GSYNC + VSYNC ON , GSYNC + VSYNC OFF @ 60FPS . Will perform the same, because the fps is not passing the refresh limit. That also explains when ever I try to turn vsync off when GSYNC is on, it reverts back to the Use 3d Application setting, like its telling "dude vsync will be on regardless if G...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
I understand what you're saying. My XL2430T I can't really notice any tearing in Melee, or anything negative. So a GSYNC monitor's input lag at 144hz + GSYNC(novsync) at 60fps has a lil bit more input lag than a 144hz(novsync) at 60fps. Just no tearing. I know the new benq 240hz beat the response ti...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Will a 240hz work on a 960? I read recommended was at least 980.

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Understandable. paying $1200 for the equipment for a 2ms difference, sounds like a poor decision.

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Thank you again for your insight. Yes I believe him, I believe 240hz at 60fps with gsync is super fast I did not doubt him. I was explaining the buffers we use in netplay to get identical to crt timings. I'm saying you can use the faster melee client standalone(without buffers) offline and it will l...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
The latency will feel lower than console according to what buffer you use on netplay. The build is has the lowest latency pipeline, so if you run Melee without a buffer (which you edit in the netplay window) it will be definitely faster than crt, that leads to inconsistency in certain tech. One of t...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Ya frame capping is not a thing the community uses. So I have RTSS configured and disabled vsync, and ran the game. The input feels identical to console. But that might be a placebo because I want this method to work. With RTSS it feels a good, without RTSS it feels off, but that might be just me. T...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
Yes, I know. Thank you again for your quick response. I was just going off what RealNC was saying. Because he said it was useless to do at 60fps. But I do know people who have disgusting tear lines when they dont have vsync, and they dislike vsync because of input lag. I just want to help some frien...

Re: 240hz on 60FPS games
I see, would using CRU lessen the VSYNC LAG, because RTSS can't be used(what about nvinspector) . Or does the ingame frame limiter override that as well?
