Re: G sync and v sync in nvidia control panel cause flickers
Got this monitor for more than 1 yr and never got such problems. I always try to be on latest driver&win 10 version. Tested many games limited below 240 fps ingame or with RTSS with nvidia VSYNC ON. I noticed that with Nvidia VSYNC and GSYNC everything is much more fluid than without VSYNC. Worth to...

Re: Apex Legends Optimal Settings for 240hz G-Sync Monitors
So with Gsync at 240Hz its better to use 120fps rather than 160? After my tests beyond 144fps image starts to blurry with judder/stutter. Its really strange that other game like BF1 has no such problem. But Apex is taxing my GPU a lot more than BF1 and that might be a problem. Perfectly for me would...

PG258q best overdrive
Hi,
What is the best choice for PG258q in terms of clarity - best overdrive:
1. screen set to 240Hz @ 144fps
2. screen set to 144Hz @ 144fps
sadly in modern games its not possible to sustain 240fps.

Re: Apex Legends Optimal Settings for 240hz G-Sync Monitors
I have pg258q and this game looks realy weird when unlocking fps. Screen is set to 240Hz with Gsync and everything above 144 fpx looks much worse than caped to 144 (above 144 I can almost see double edges on the landscapes. Even image is more blurry at 240fps than 144 - and yes I can reach 240+ in t...

Re: Fortnite Settings - ASUS ROG SWIFT PG258Q 240Hz
erm why vsync off not on...not long ago some1 in this forum confirmed that gsync+vsync on+framecap is the optimal setting.Chief Blur Buster wrote:...
So basically GSYNC + VSYNC OFF + in-game framerate cap (approx 235 to 238).
This can improve aiming feel in a wildly-varying framerate situation.

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
Hi,
I read whole article about GSYNC and at the conclusion there is statement that best settings are: GSYNC+VSYNC ON and limit fps. I'd like to ask why should i even bother enabling vsync when it will never engage if the limit is below max refresh rate? Am i missing something?

Re: Monitor recommendation
As a user of ASUS PG258Q I have to say that 120Hz in ULMB in long term is very annoying due to flickering. 144Hz is bit better but stil after 5 hrs of playing I can feel that my eyes are irritated. More over if U can't maintain perfectly 120 fps (for 120 Hz) or 144 (for 144Hz) the smoothness of moti...

Already tried IE11, Edge and Chrome. Chrome is by far the worst.
