Re: 27" Gaming Monitor mainly for CS:GO

If you are wanting a list of G-sync, current and upcoming, you'll find them here: http://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/list-of-gsync-monitors/ You'll see that two options you have (sticking to 1080p and 27") are the Philips 272G5DYEB and BENQ XL2720G. The BenQ is said to be coming out Q1, so sometime in...

Re: G-Sync and Cloned Displays [for twitch streaming?]

I just checked and yes, it does go to 50Mbps max. thoguh, the Twitch feature might differ, because that is still a new-ish feature just added. I haven't tested it out myself yet, but I believe its something they could possibly fix later, from the sound of it. We will see. I believe Twitch will not ...

Odd problem with Asus VG248QE [warranty claim]

Hey, I just went down to the local Fry's with my friend and he purchased a floor model of the Asus VG248QE (Sorry Chief, he didn't want to wait from Amazon). We get home, plug the DVI in and...nothing. Monitor doesn't turn on. Plug in HDMI, works just fine. To be sure, try the DVI again. DVI works u...

Re: Does GSYNC work with video players? [edit: yes, sometime

Some are really persistent, others can be easy. But be careful, you are touching a panel with quite a few perfectly fine pixels you wouldn't want to damage.

Also, I believe those videos need just a little more time than 10 minutes, but again YMMV

Re: F.lux

F.lux should be disabled when you launch any game in fullscreen mode. I don't know the specifics of this, but I use it and I haven't seen any difference in games whether forcing the application off before game launch, or just to let it do its thing when you launch a game.

Re: Custom Screens, combining several Laptop LCDs for higher

Oh man, I'm not active at all on stuff like this past saying "cool stuff!". But I offered. I have to do airport stuff early tomorrow, so I'll work on it over the weekend.

Custom Screens, combining several Laptop LCDs for higher Res

Did you know you can create your own custom screens by combining several laptop screens, as well as a few electronics picked up from ebay, to make yourself a high-resolution multi-screen display! Take note: Some setups are easier than others. Most older 'laptop' panels will have used LVDS to transmi...

Re: Experiences with Seiki 4K 50"

Thanks for your observations! Very good observations. I've made a link to this thread in the Display Overclocking forum, since this thread is useful from over there too. I typed this all up in the display overclocking forum, then changed my mind at the last minute, as I didn't mess around with OCin...

Re: Easier to add Avatars

Here we go, found another: I've found multi-quoting can be a little difficult at times as well. Sure, when you go into the full editor, you get the small scroll-wheel showing the past few replies that you can click "quote" for, and multi-quote like that. But having the option to click several posts ...
