Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

If im unable to hit 540fps on some game titles, should i still keep my PG248QP monitor refresh rate at 540hz? or lower it to around the same FPS im getting? how do i eliminate tearing while still not adding extra latency? Leave it on 540hz and/or turn on G-Sync. If you want to use ULMB, the lowest ...

Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)

An overdrive level that has the least amount of ghosting. Sometimes, in certain cases, more overdrive artifacts becomes like a tracer bullet feature, if you're a stationary camper. This is a very unique use case, very specific competitive advantage where you're very stationary (camping sniper) and ...

Hey y’all, long time lurker here. To those who own this monitor, is your OSD joystick really loose seeming? A few times moving to the left I’ve heard a terrible popping sound as well. Thanks!
Yes, I get that pop sometimes when moving it Left. Moving Up/Down/Right seems normal.

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

A bit of weirdness I've found is that sometimes after the monitor goes to sleep, it will never wake back up unless you remove and reinsert one of the cables Definitely the least polished-feeling monitor I've ever bought, everything except for the fast panel feels bad I'm surprised yours even goes t...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

Something I noticed today is that the monitor will not go in standby mode unless you have "Power Setting -> Power Saving Mode" enabled. The problem with enabling Power Saving Mode is you can't adjust any color, brightness, contrast, game profiles, etc. and it makes everything use default values. You...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

I just added 4x M4 20+6mm standoffs and now there's plenty of space for airflow with a VESA mount.

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

I've been using the Gsync Esports mode (GameVisual) and I had to drop Digital Vibrance down to 40% in Nvidia control panel to tame the colors. Everything else has been good so far. I noticed that I'm unable to enable ULMB while on my Windows desktop. If I open a game, ULMB becomes available in the O...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

I cannot think of a smarter move for a $900 monitor than putting the only cooling fan inside the tiny VESA mounting port. Truly next-level design My VESA mount also blocks a significant portion of the fan's ventilation. I haven't heard the fan get loud yet, but I'm also not using ULMB or Gsync. I t...
