Re: Alienware OLED Monitor - 4K/120 Hz 55" DP 1.4
Not to mention that DP 1.4 can't go past 4K 98hz in HDR10 mode without dropping to 4:2:2, unless DSC is supported. I'd love to find out. Personally, I rip all my legally purchased content to my PC for playback so I don't need HDMI, but 4:2:2 is a dealbreaker as I do not want to switch refresh rates...

Re: Overclocking 144hz to 240hz+ (LG 24GM79G-B)
I have yet to find a way to get rid of that damn OSD notice on any monitor. It's just locked in the firmware with no toggle in the OSD setup or factory menu on most monitors. This notice has been the bane of the majority of display overclockers. I had monitors that could go higher, but they would p...

Re: Optimal Screen Size for FPS Gaming [Scientific Research?
I don't understand the whole debate. You can make the image on a bigger display look smaller. The reverse is not true. You cannot make the image of a smaller monitor look bigger. I mean, it's just common sense. A bigger display can never be worse than a smaller one. It can either be better or the s...

Re: Alienware OLED Monitor - 4K/120 Hz 55" DP 1.4
An expensive display in 2019 without HDMI 2.1 support to me is a big no. DisplayPort 1.4 can´t handle 4k @ 120hz with chroma 4:4:4 + HDR. To me any display more expensive than 800€ in 2019 and without HDMI 2.1 is a bad investement.

Re: ViewSonic VX2458-C-mhd / XG240R
XG240R replaces XG2402 but it's the same monitor, they just added a fancy light and will cost around 280€. VX2458-C-mhd is curved, VA panel, 144hz, 1ms GtG and costs 200€. What's the catch here??!! VA panel is not good for gaming? Huge input lag? I already decided i wanted the XG2402/XG240R but the...

Re: Overclocking 144hz to 240hz+ (LG 24GM79G-B)
What?? Are you sure it isnt skipping?? Find it hard to believe a 144hz panel can go that high. About the osd thing I have no clue but search on the internet how to go on advanced/admin panel settings, there might be some option there. It would be a massive letdown if the monitor goes up to 240hz and...

Re: XG2402 vs XG2530
Is locking fps to 237 for 240Hz or 141 for 144Hz more beneficial than locking them to 240 or 144? Considering the small diference in input lag and image blur with 144hz and 240hz i want the XG2402. Problem is to find it. There must be some distribution issue or it's not for sale anymore. If you are...

Re: XG2402 vs XG2530
I'm in the same situation. I want to buy XG2402, from what i read it's the best 144hz monitor for gaming with good image but i can't find it anywhere, physical store and online. Would be very strange if it's not for sale anymore. I can get XG2530 for 300€, only thing i'm worried is i don't know wha...
