Re: Ultrawide monitor for fps gaming pros and cons.
I played some Overwatch on a ultrawide screen, but this game dont have true 21:9 aspect support, its 21:9 is a vertically cut 16:9 so it doesnt give you a wider FOV. My impressions may be mostly negative because of that. Anyway, currently I think the wider you go, the harder you get any benefit not ...

Re: Intel 9900K
I don't know what the market for cpus will be like in a year or two but I assume it will continue the current trend of more cores and lower clock per dollar. In opposite, I think core count war shouldnt continue in mainstream gaming segment, at least form Intel's side. AMD may keep offering more co...

Re: Intel 9900K
Depends on what you're upgrading from. E.g. I have friends with not-delidded 6700K and 8700K and they want new CPU, I believe, mostly because it doesnt need delidding and they are lazy/nervous of trying to delid their current processors. There are always benefits of having fps as high as possible, e...

Re: I have a BenQ/Zowie XL2740, and I love it.
It seems like XL2740 is out of stock everywhere and sellers clear their xl2546 stocks as well. Apparently, a model refresh is coming soon. Any ideas when and what that could be? I expect 240hz 0,5ms models to come out in 2019. And Benq usually is not the first to release, so I wouldnt expect its av...

Re: How risky is overclocking your monitor?
Same here, I havent heard any real cases when overclocking lead to any seen damage to monitor. Probably because monitor just wont work if you set a mode it's not capable of, so you will have to revert and find a working one.

Re: LG 27GK750F-B - 240Hz, 27" 1ms Blur reduction, Freesync
Just use the "user" or "custom" preset (or whatever they're calling it) and configure things as you want them. There are two, Gamer 1 and Gamer 2. They are fully customizable user profiles. Rest are pre-made presets that are not recommended to use. I do have a frame skipping bug when I switch from ...

Re: LG 27GK750F-B - 240Hz, 27" 1ms Blur reduction, Freesync
After spending some time trying to understand why, I believe, its due to losing the crosshair/target co-positioning when shooting continuously due to nozzle flash (e.g. Tracer, Soldier). It just feels like I am blinded for short bursts of time. Snipers and single shots heroes were fine. You describ...

This particular test pattern is bad to diagnose MBR problems, better use https://testufo.com/crosstalk Well, first pic (mbr off) has much visible blur on bottom UFO. Look closely, UFO is blurred, and bottom UFO on second pic is much clearer. Refer to https://www.blurbusters.com/faq/motion-blur-reduc...
