Why would an older 144hz monitor (XG2402) perform better though? I can't think of any reasons.

@Falkentyne is there a guide on how to setup my XL2546k for 1728x1080 resolution with 182hz refresh? Those are basically the settings I use to play Apex Legends. I tried using the usual settings with 1728x1080 and the monitor wouldn't take it (used NVCP to configure).

If I was you I'd either look for something like the 2546K or wait for 2nd gen 240hz panels like the XG2431.
