Re: My experience with all sorts of Problems regularly mentioned here.

I swear I reply to this but for some reason my message didn't submitted. Ah, I'll tell you what happened. It appears you clicked the "Report Post" exclamation mark icon instead of "Reply" icon, a mechanism normally reserved for complaints to forum staff/volunteers -- usually for reporting forum vio...

Re: 360hz in a 250FPS locked game

Does this hold true even with a 480hz (Oled) or the 520hz (TN) panel? Specifically for 250fps locked content (quake live), will it *always* be better to match hz = fps regardless how high your monitor refresh rate can be? Thanks Chief Depends on the goal: --> If you are not using BFI/strobing, you ...

Re: Viewsonic XG2431 black image? Dead panel?

- Have you tried different refresh rates / resolutions to see if those work? - Have you tested different ports & different cables? If you're having the same problem on all video ports (DisplayPort and HDMI), and have confirmed it is not a bad cable, then you may have to contact ViewSonic for an RMA....

Elementary Explanation: Trying To Understand Pixel Refresh Rate (Was: "New Futuristic Temporal Resolution Hypothesis")

No, the display physics does not work like that. That's not a temporal resolution metric, that's like an Internet connection speed. What you are describing is bandwidth/speed (like the megabits per second on Internet). It has no effect on motion blur. We already have pixel clocks built into signals;...

Re: This Is How I Fixed My Input Lag

I thought people could see the image attached to the post, my bad. It shows up but it's not readable due to small text (image zooms down to small 1080p gaming monitor), unless I do the [ URL=link ][ IMG ]link[ /IMG ][ /URL ] trick. Here is the clickable-zoomable version: https://forums.blurbusters....

Re: What causes horizontal white line flicker?

It seems simply making any change in NVCP that causes the driver to restart (black screen for a second) fixed the issue, temporarily... Some weird behavior, that reinitializing things somehow solves... You can also try ToastyX restart64.exe as an alternative way of rebooting the driver. Annoying th...

Re: EMI fix for system responsiveness leads to motion blurr

Hello, i've been suffering from input lag and i have tried a certain circuit(put a diode pridge + condensator on the neutral) it has made my mouse and overall system perfomance crispy but there is a but. The monitor is now blurry when in motion. And moving a mouse produces a ghost on the video (att...

Re: Should I be worried about DSC for esports?

I just ordered an Alienware AW2725DF, 1440p 360hz monitor for primarily esports. I'm reading up on DSC, and realizing DP 1.4 will require it to support the bandwidth. I also have this exact worry. How are you finding the monitor with display port 1.4 with DSC? DisplayPort 1.4 actually has a provisi...

Re: What causes horizontal white line flicker?

This is a strange firmware bug.

Idea: Try using NVIDIA Custom Resolution and tweaking a porch number by a tiny bit bigger, or try a custom 350Hz refresh rate, and see if the behavior changes.

Re: Can gamma affect display lag of a TV or monitor?

Usually no lag changes, but some models do have latency changes during this sort of picture settings changes. I don't know which models do and which models don't, as it's pretty obscure black box stuff sadly. However, gamma curve adjustments properly done on a proper gaming monitor, should add no lag.
