Re: Polling Rate among Gaming Mice Analysis: 1000hz Is Not Enough

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLmADXyssZo Here is what 500hz mouse polling looks like to the naked eye. These are not even very fast flicks. You can even see a polling error/microstutter in the video! https://i.imgur.com/QgQhvYO.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acGBZv1891Y < 125hz polling in Ov...

Polling Rate among Gaming Mice Analysis: 1000hz Is Not Enough

I made a 1-minute video which superimposes 500hz/1000hz/8000hz polling rates against some gameplay footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcsbDDyfLLU It turns out that when you either: 1) flick very quickly at a target that is nearby, or 2) flick slowly at a target that is far away, then 1000hz is...

Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!

I assume BenQ will be making something with the same panel (hopefully?)

Wonder if ULMB works at 360hz

Re: Best 27 inch 144-180hz TN Panel monitor?

Also remember the XL2740 is "Gsync compatible". I'm not sure if the XL2540 or XL2546 are or not (not even sure if the XL2546 can do freesync; the XL2540 can). I have the XL2540, it's "Gsync compatible" IMO, the blur reduction is way better for playing games that can actually output 240fps, though.....

Why are there no 240hz+ OLED monitors yet?

Ever since OLED first debuted as a technology, its potential for extremely high refresh rates (1000hz and beyond) has been a major talking point. Despite this, the best specimens of OLED are only 120hz. What prevents a company like BenQ from tooling some OLED panels to run at 240hz? Anyone know?

If I could find one of those ye olde 270hz ones (that are nowadays all cooped up in universities for human reaction testing) I'd use it.

I wonder why SED monitors never took off. I assume it's because of money and bullshit.

High-Speed 240FPS Flickin' - Which Monitor?

I've been playing on an XL2540 for a couple years. It is nice, but I didn't anticipate the level of motion blur still being so high when performing high speed flicks in FPS games. I cannot see what is happening at all during the actual flick - and my aiming style is all flicks. This is a monitor wit...
