Re: Could bad upload speeds lead to lag?
I play with 600kbit shared up/down connection. The stuttering is game related. I just so happen to know a lot about source networking. Join a server and upload a photo of your net_graph 4.
You probably have data loss from stuff downloading in the background (30mbps you see)

Re: Triple buffering, flip queue, D3D9ex, FastSync...
You can't write to a buffer that's being read to. It causes visual glitches. This is why 2 buffers are the minimum. assuming 60hz Double buffer vsync read buffer sends to display gpu draws frame in open write buffer if fps exceeds refresh rate gpu idles until buffer swap if fps is less than refresh ...

Re: Pre-Rendered Frames (scam!?)
As far as I am aware pre-rendered frames is a bogus setting as game engines control the queue size. Your tests in witcher 3 suggest that pre-rendered frames does something, but maybe something else is causing the lag? Why in the elder scrolls IV: oblivion when using a framerate limiter (SSYNC in my ...

Re: eye strain
Thinking... Possible theories specific to your condition: - Screen coating issues (all of your monitors are not glossy) - Low color gamut (all of your monitors are 72%-102% sRGB), less than many TVs and phones. - Inconsistent ghosting (some of your monitors are VA panels) - Extreme close distances ...

vg279q1a information?
Looks like this monitor hasn't been tested. Any clue what panel it is using and what other monitors are using this panel?

Re: nVidia Reflex - THIS IS HUGE FOR US, BLURBUSTERS!
I'm not hyped for reflex as a way to bring latency down... as judging from the video, it will mostly help in GPU bound scenarios, which I already eliminate all the time. (CPU bound framerate = way lower latency than GPU bound, for anyone else reading this) I'm hyped for it as a tool which enables e...

Re: nVidia Reflex - THIS IS HUGE FOR US, BLURBUSTERS!
I'm about to watch the video but first I would like to post that nvidia will not enable MSI (message signal interrupt) mode by default due to the fact that it does not work in virtual machines. NVidia would have set they're cards to MSI a long time ago, especially because it increases performance by...

Re: Hp omen x25/25f thoughts?
Why don't you use strobe? Based on the specs the hp looked great but bad pixel inversion. NO WAY. You said you could try it and return it. If I had that opportunity why not? Of course I would. Maybe your old tn looked smoother because it had worse pixel response. Motion blur does make stuff look smo...

Re: A few VIEWSONIC monitors questions
You said you used your monitor in strobed mode. I don't know why the 2405 2402 aren't blur buster approved. I've used the xg270 and I absolutely loved the strobed mode. It's the first monitor I used exclusively in strobed mode because it was so much better. I come from the CRT days and I had an extr...
