Re: Experiencing ghosting with OLED?

Can't really tell what you're referring to by the video itself, and I also can't presume what form of ghosting you're personally counting as the issue, but there are multiple causes to "double images," one of which is the Stroboscopic Effect: https://blurbusters.com/the-stroboscopic-effect-of-finit...

Re: TAA also makes games super blurry & its starting to be forced.

Well of course, I'm replying because I'm enjoying the dialogue, I may misunderstand what you're insinuating with what you say soketimes but were both on the same page it seems No worries, seems so. the 4 reasons you gave are EXTREMELY true as for why the problems aren't tackled despite being possib...

Re: TAA also makes games super blurry & its starting to be forced.

To be clear; you make a lot of good points, however these are simply reasons why getting good anti-aliasing quality is more difficult, rather than impossible. My comment you quoted was only concerning what users can do with the officially available methods now . Short of manual config hacks and thi...

Re: PG27AQN + ADA

Its not frame skipping, this is the most fluid the panel has been since having it imo. 0ms jitter is so nice. I was referring to this: I can get 290Hz but its unironically less smooth than 250Hz bc of jitter. If your meaning of "jitter" was something else in this case (achievable frametime/framerat...

Re: PG27AQN + ADA

thats weird it says for 2560x1440 that 1440p 250hz is only 27.65Gbps and DP 1.4 can do 32.4Gbps I was speaking generally. It depends on the monitor. In the PG27AQN's case, it goes 360Hz 1440p max with DSC on and 240Hz 1440p max with DSC off. I.E. it doesn't have a factory overclock with DSC off tha...

Re: PG27AQN + ADA

It’s DSC. If you want to use things like DSR/DLDSR and custom resolutions, you’ll need to disable DSC (which will limit it to 240Hz) in the monitor OSD. Can I do 250Hz without DSC? You can try, so long as it's below 1440p, but no guarantees; 240Hz 1440p 8-bit 4:4:4 chroma maxes out the non-DSC/nati...

does Vulkan behave the same way?
It should.

To confirm, activate the NVCP G-SYNC indicator; if it shows in the same scenario as with DX12, it's working.

Re: Gsync off+ vsync on?

For non-VRR low-latency "V-SYNC" 60 FPS, you can look into RTSS Scanline Sync, but it has to be at 60Hz 60 FPS, and typically, manually tuned. It's effectively a fixed refresh rate version of VRR (both steer the tearline off-screen), but it can be fussy. There really is no tear-free alternative to ...
