Re: What is the best Nvidia Driver version for G-sync?
My G-sync used to work fine before I was forced to update in order to play doom eternal. Problem is I can't remember which driver number I was using before and even with that driver I was having stuttering issues with G-sync. Seems like G-sync only works once in a blue moon for me. I get the feelin...

Re: What is the best Nvidia Driver version for G-sync?
I've tried the optimal settings and tried a clean windows install and everything similar but nothing works. I KNOW for certain that "true" G-sync without high latency or micro-micro stutters is possible but achieving it seems to be completely random. G-SYNC's primary purpose is to a be a mirror of ...

G-sync and clockplatform
Yesterday I was fiddling around with the following CMD commands: bcdedit /set useplatformclock No (or false) bcdedit /set useplatformclock Yes (or true) bcdedit /set disabledynamictick Yes bcdedit /set tscsyncpolicy Enhanced bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock After using bcdedit /set useplatformc...

Re: What's the proper setup for a game with 60fps cap and no exclusive fullscreen?
If the emulator can be run in DX11, Special K can flipmodel the game for you (run it in exclusive fullscreen) additionally - it can also help DWM tear in borderless for the foreground window (your game being active currently) allowing for G-Sync to do its work better. https://special-k.info/ --> of...

What's the proper setup for a game with 60fps cap and no exclusive fullscreen?
I usually run games at 144 fps at 1440p fullscreen, but some games I play have no option for exclusive fullscreen, only window or borderless, and they also have 60 fps caps. What options should I use for those games? I tried using windowed G-sync but for some reason it just doesn't feel right. A win...

Re: G-sync only feels smooth when I have a twitch stream in the background. What gives?
For smoothest possible gameplay a few key factors are indeed very important: - Forced maximum clocks on CPU/GPU while in game. (Either through speedstep or speedshift eep) - Force maximum windows timer resolution (0.5ms), especially when using in-game fps cap. - Manual interrupt affinity balancing ...

Re: G-sync only feels smooth when I have a twitch stream in the background. What gives?
Power management interferes with VRR framepacing, because VRR performs best with sub-millisecond-accurate "gametime:photontime" sync. Games capped to 60fps, utilize a very low percentage of the GPU, which can trigger the GPU into power management, creating framepacing accuracies that forces diverge...

G-sync only feels smooth when I have a twitch stream in the background. What gives?
G-sync only seems to work when I have a Twitch stream in the background. I found this out by chance when I opened up a Twitch stream and decided to directly alt-tab back to the game I was playing with the twitch stream as the primary tab in chrome and I had noticed that everything became remarkably ...

Re: G-sync is not feeling smooth
I am now getting occasional tearing in Doom Eternal as well as the "coarseness" or "microjitter" or whatever it's called despite not changing anything. I have also observed that Code Vein in fullscreen does not have any of the issues I mentioned in the main post and is perfectly smooth at 144 fps an...
