Re: is dyac+ on the xl2566k noticeable without specifically looking for it?
It mainly depends on the ratio of eye-tracking vs fixed gaze: 100% eye-tracking motion = 100% benefit from blur reduction 0% eye-tracking = 0% benefit from blur reduction If you eye-track 50% of the use time then yes it helps, if 10%, then it still helps, but not as often. You just figure out your o...

Re: Alienware AW2521H Quick Review
On amd cards u can't fully disable VRR like on nvidia. There is a OFF/ON toggle within amd settings/panel but it only seems to silence it. BUT Someone very recently discovered VRR can be disabled through CRU . See here: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?p=98028#p98028 By removing either ...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
Could be anything really: 446 vs 347 is not significant so he could of just quick checked and not pay enough attention, some are more sensitive than others, different reviewer different measurement, measurement errors, maybe you tested lower pulse width which result it lower brightnes...

Idk about that. I'd rather stick to measured nits.

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
He mentioned AQN ULMB 2 is 275 nits at the end of video . 492 without. U didn't notice probably because the difference between 365 (DyAc OFF) and 330 nits (DyAc High) is perceptually very tiny. And AQN is brighter to begin with. So yeah 492 vs 275 is somewhat larger difference than 365 vs 330. Perc...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
Claims ULMB2 does not darken the screen on the PG248QP 540HZ ( unlike the PG27AQN) plus u can make custom resoltion on 500hz ( not 540hz) Sounds pretty good if the screen really stays bright. Then I am prob. gonna buy it. Did u see Optimum's video? He measured 446 nits for ULMB 2 OFF and 347 nits f...

Due to browser limitations testufo currently doesn't allow u to set custom frame rates. Try Smooth Frog instead. It's similar to testufo, but built as executable like a game so u can test more realistic situations.

Simply put, higher the frame rate, the lower the latency. Higher the refresh rate, lower the latency.
Here are some nice graphs showing frame rate latency at fixed refresh rate (timestamp included).

Re: ULMB 2 Released
This is a great thing you discovered. I wonder if this works on older ULMB monitors. Can someone test btw? Out of curiosity I tried this on couple of non-nvidia G-SYNC monitors. Unchecking the "Include if slot available" on my 34WN650 + nvidia PC didn't disable VRR, but removing all the range limit ...
