XL2411Z [BENQ France message]
Hi all, what i've send to BenQ Europe Support by mail : Hello there, would be the XL2411Z released with the fixed firmware for strobing ? (confirm) Can the all frequencies be allowed for strobing ? ( i and some people don't care about eyestrain caused by flickering ) Will the strobing length be more...

Re: CRT Simulation display on LCD
i'm already using that emulator with that filter and it's great, what about using it permanently?
modifying the color filter geometry would be the only answer to that!
you have also to compensate brightness loss since pixels gap increase, which would be incompatible with strobed monitor display

CRT Simulation display on LCD [shadowmask emulation]
Hi all, i would like to know if it's possible to actually make a LCD looking like a CRT, i mean the good old phosphor shadow mask ( or aperture grille for some CRT's ) with the "blurry/glowing" looking image display it is an undesirable feature for now but i still like it ! shadow mask is a dot-styl...

Re: xl2411t replacement
Hello and welcome there ! 0.5ms strobe length will be so dim that you'll need to play with dark-accommoded eyes, 1ms is a more practical goal (only 500µs motion blur difference). you could boost on the voltage supply but it will void your warranty (and shorten your backlight lifespan) black equalize...

Re: About a XL2720Z Review [and XL2720Z strobe timing bug]
for thoses who don't really care about a shortening backlight life, we could so easily mod some circuitry to get an huge boost and forget the dim effect will the BenQ MBR be moddable in the same way that the lightboost is ? i'm talking about the current boost, at the expense of lifespan indeed it wi...

Re: About a XL2720Z Review [and XL2720Z strobe timing bug]
what would be the difference against black-and-white based CRT phosphor and a white LED backlit LCD monitor in lifespan, the light filtering makes voltage increase supply as a need so that's why LED lifespan is shorter ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphor#White_LEDs they both use phosphor but are...
