Re: Why can I play better with highest overdrive setting and overshoot?
I can play much better with the strongest mode on (100) than with the "slower" ones. Overdrive fastens up the pixel transitions, meaning: - removes distractions of ghosting/better focus - helps you see things happen earlier on screen/less latency Some people will prefer advantages over compromises ...

Re: Blurred game although FPS high enough?
As RansonPL says strobe modes on 99% of monitors are either poorly tuned or incapable of achieving clear motion. In the meantime u can go through this test UFO collection and see what suits your needs. So far I can only recommend XG2431, XG270 @119Hz, maybe even LG C1 if u're ok with low brightness....

Re: Blurinator 9000 - Blur simulation software
Long-term, I want to see someone release a CRT simulator, because I'm working on such algorithms. I added a new post to the RetroArch CRT electron beam simulator feature request -- that mentions Blurinator. Basically creating a Blurinator style algorithm but for simulating a CRT tube instead of an ...

Is eye tracked motion blur measurable?
Is motion blur our eyes make when tracking objects on display measurable? We know when GtG is 0, 1ms of persistence results in 1 pixel of motion blur when moving at 1000 pixels/second. If we have a line moving across the screen at 2000 pixels/second on 100 Hz/fps display the blur would be 20 pixels ...

Re: Blurred game although FPS high enough?
Freesync only syncs refresh rate and frame rate which removes tearing and results in smoother motion. It won't help motion blur. You might want to consider blur reduction tech/strobing if your eyes can handle the flicker. Something like your G7 already offers, called MBR. Unfortunately Samsung imple...

Re: Asus Monitor showing FPS on right corner
If provided model name is correct here is a LG 27GL83A user manual which should help u access the On-Screen-Display (OSD) to disable FPS Counter feature. Check Page 18. https://www.lg.com/us/support/manuals-documents?customerModelCode=27GL83A-B&csSalesCode=27GL83A-B.AUS&category=CT10000030&subcatego...

Re: VSync OFF csgo desynced
For test I turn on G-Sync + VSync in NVCP and cap fps by 237 - all hits easily land in head, all hits registered and enemies have slower reaction than me. But some input lag present on mouse (maybe 10-15ms by my feeling compared to AGLatencySplitTest). When I turn off VSync - problems reproducing a...

Re: Acer Nitro XV252QZbmiiprx (UM.KX2EE.Z01)
Didn't help at all but thanks anyway. XV252QZ is 2019 panel. There are newer options with slightly better performance. They all have overdrive for reducing ghosting (faster gtg). For blur reduction (faster MPRT) you'd have to check. I think they all do except S2522HG. There are also S25BG40, AG254F...

Re: Alienware AW2523HF announced
UFO tests (there are some up for this model now in some reviews) are pretty much the same as for the 2521h - no ghost but average motion blur. Is it similar to these AW2521H @360Hz shots? https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10150 Tech Nuovo did a common mistake of recording ufo stati...

Oh I see. It's probably nvidia thing. Keeping pixels warmed up.
