Re: Apex Legends feels slow with GSYNC + vsync + 141 fps limit?
BattlenonSense https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CKnJ5ujL_Q If youre enabling it when youre not gpu bound you get the opposite effect. You get worse input lag by having it on as shown in his tests here. Ive also read some comments about it from the staff here i think. All of his tests were done with...

Re: Apex Legends feels slow with GSYNC + vsync + 141 fps limit?
What changes from gsync+ 141 fps limit + vsync on + low latency mode off and gsync + 141 fps limit + vsync on + low latency mode on? And on apex limit from origin on the launch options or use rivatuner? thanks Nothing if its DX12. Flip queue is handled by the game instead of drivers. If it's DX11 t...

Re: Apex Legends feels slow with GSYNC + vsync + 141 fps limit?
Use low latency mode "On" in nvidia control panel. Do not use "Ultra" unless you are GPU bound BELOW your 141 cap. (low latency mode only works for DX11 games...no vulkan or DX12) The general recommendation from what ive read here is to turn it off unless you are GPU bound. Ultra mode caps your fra...

Static electricity huh? Sounds like an easy fix, just connect a ground wire to each pixel and let it trail off. We only need several million for each screen right? No problem

Re: Choosing best monitor for eyes
To go a bit further on brightness. If you can't find a monitor with a low enough setting but it has BFI (motion blur reduction with black frames insertion) then with BFI enabled it will effectively reduce brightness much further if needed. So with that setting you can solve stuttering issues and bri...

Re: Apex Legends feels slow with GSYNC + vsync + 141 fps limit?
Higher fps beyond the panels refresh rate still give a more responsive feeling but with added tearing. So if you are used to running 200+ fps then capping at or near your 144 limit you should notice a tiny bit of extra delay. The pros outweigh the cons in most instances. The only game I can argue fo...

Re: Digital vibrance bad for eyes?
Is high digital vibrance (80-100%) bad for your eyes? This is something I was always curious about because I'm kinda addicted to high digital vibrance... Digital vibrance is just one of several knobs you can turn to get an end result that you are satisfied with. There are many ways to tune the same...

Re: Asus Rog Strix XG279Q review. The fastest 1440p IPS monitor*
I tried to test again using full screen and still had no issues after 10 min. I left it on for 15 minutes and I could see a very very very mild discoloration where the lanes were. So mild that I second guessed myself a few times. I changed tabs for 20 seconds and went back and nothing was there. My ...

Re: Asus XG279Q with ELMB-Sync
I am fond of saturation as well but like to control how much I have depending on the game. Some games look good with a high amount and some look good with a low amount the default mode just doesn't allow you to change it at all for some reason so changing to User mode, which is still the same wide g...
