Re: Poll- What is your prefered monitor size for FPS gaming?

If you sit on a Cinema looking really far away at a 120 inch screen it isn´t the same as looking to a 23 inch at home from 40cm away right? Get my point? Even tho the information on the monitor might have the exact same scale, and yes maths do not fail here, on the cinema you will see chairs, peopl...

Re: Poll- What is your prefered monitor size for FPS gaming?

But your table is still on your field of view, get what I mean? Is not exactly the same as only having the monitor on your fov. I understand you don´t focus on it, I don´t either, but it is there, If you respect the minimum distance to each size, the result will be the same. You will also see stuff...

Re: Poll- What is your prefered monitor size for FPS gaming?

So in fact, your eyes are dealing with more information, even tho everything on the monitor seems the same size because you have a higher viewing distance, you are now dealing with the surroundings of the monitor aswell because it is further away. I don't agree. I can focus on the monitor image and...

Re: Poll- What is your prefered monitor size for FPS gaming?

It really depends on the depth of your desk. One should buy a monitor with a size that is adecuate to the distance available. The same way you would not buy a small TV with huge distance to the couch. How much depth your desk has ? If you have eye strain, maybe the distance is still not enough. I do...

Re: AOC G2590PX Does someone recommend it to me?

On Asus site, they don't mention "GameFast Input technology" for VG248QG.
I don't think it's a mistake and they forgot to write that, just that it's not implemented. If this is the case, expect higher input lag.

Re: AOC G2590PX Does someone recommend it to me?

G2590PX has dynamic interlace patterns, wich means on moving images you can notice horizontal lines.
I don't think you will be satisfied having this issue.

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

No backlight bleed here. My panel is perfect. I mentioned (you also) that with FreeSync, TraceFree doesn't have any effect (0 or 100) but I was in part wrong. Where TraceFree has no effect is on desktop mouse cursor. It is always a bit blurry. In ufo test just by looking (no camera needed), with Fre...

Re: Alienware AW2518HF - Is this behaviour normal?

FreeSync doesn't keep steady Hz even if the fps are.

About the overdrive:

I think this is the same thing I mention, not an issue, just how it works.
Maybe Jorimt or Chief know something.

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

With FreeSync what I see is a thin black border around the cursor, 60 or 100 is exactly the same. I conclude that when FreeSync is applied (I can disable it in monitor menu after), the monitor gets a different and fixed overdrive, meaning that the TraceFree setting does nothing, 0 or 100 remains th...
