If the game is sttutering, lagging and choppy, and when you unplug the 60hz monitor you have a different experience, that will not be placebo and easy to know.
Also, use FreeSync to see if image gets better.

Re: Framerate all good frametime all good but game looks cho
If the secondary monitor is the problem you would have issues always, not just some days. Seems more like internet connection. But to be sure simply unplug the 60hz monitor.
I run Fortnite at 165hz with FreeSync and around 100 fps. Super smooth.

Re: XF252Q low-latency turns off / frame skipping(?)
First off, it can't be turned on when FreeSync is enabled, it's greyed out. What I've also noticed is, when you turn it on, then turn on Freesync (while confirming it's on in the menu) it stays on, even if you power off/on the monitor. However when you enter a game sometimes it will disable low-lat...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag
Did someone test the input lag in every mode? To be honest i dont really notice any input lag difference between the 3 modes i use (racing,rts/rpg and fps). I don't notice a difference either. As for Vividpixel it certainly does add input lag from the moment that the image needs further processing ...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag
BTW Karavanasam, I strongly recommend that you get at least a GTX 1060 to take full advantage of the monitor. You will notice the difference in overshoot with FreeSync.
In Fortnite the image is perfect.

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag
BUT everything changed when i installed my rtx 2080 , i get 100% no overshoot at 60 trace free and i can go as high as 100 with only a very minor amount of overshoot , even with freesync turned off! Looks like you got lucky as well. It's strange that some had issues with the monitor even with FreeS...

Re: AW2518HF Response Time Settings
You shouldn't but usually at maximum overdrive it creates artifacts on most monitors. If you have none you are in luck. I'm am lucky too.
I'm guessing you have FreeSync 'on', just as an experiment turn it 'off' and turn monitor 'off' and 'on'.

Re: AW2518HF Response Time Settings
If you have inverse ghosting (white trail of light behind cursor and text) FreeSync solves it. The user Andrelip posted some videos using LCD reduced mode to solve the inverse ghosting too. What you see is "normal", there is nothing wrong with your monitor. Usually the setting that reduces most of t...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame
With this one I can actually use it with minor artifacts (purple corona on very fast transitions), 60 for desktop and single player games and 100 for multiplayer games.
Did you try the monitor?

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame
In their recent ASUS VG258QR 144hz 0.5ms the ghosting is the same shit, super annoying, and guaranteed eye-strain after 1 hour of playing. I have the monitor, it's 165hz not 144. With FreeSync there is no ghosting at TraceFree 60. At TraceFree 100 there is a slight purple corona with ufo test but i...
