Re: Acer XF240H better buy than ASUS VG248QE? What is the in
The vg248qe is a pretty tried and true monitor. The acer might be great too but there isn't much good data on both that I can use to compare. I know a number of pro overwatch players still use the vg248qe. It has good response times and is bright. 144hz or 120hz lightboost. And the contrast starts t...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
If you stay within the GSYNC range there isn't much affected by the setting. Its just sort of a fallback mode.knypol wrote:Why should I use Vsync ON with G-Sync? If i have capped 3 frames below my max refresh whats the purpose of VSYNC in Nvidia CP?

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
This is how the rendering process works vaguely in overwatch. 01[CPU]Game engine does main tasks (physics, collisions, interpreting network messages, ect...) 02[CPU]Game engine starts to que up rendering commands by sending them to the rendering thread 03[CPU]Possible delay depending on in-game fram...

Re: solved! GSYNC making game freeze up during loading / low
It was an error that only affects laptops with an external monitor found in drivers 381 and later. I rolled back to driver 378.92 to fix it. Found more info here http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads ... ix.805220/

Re: GSYNC making game freeze up during loading / low fps
The monitor is the PG258Q. Unfortunately it causes stalls that end up making the game take much longer to recover somehow. I need to find a way to fix this. In overwatch if I open my social tab it stalls for a good 10-15 seconds where normally it takes 1 second or two.

Re: GSYNC making game freeze up during loading / low fps
It happens only when G-SYNC is enabled. Turning on or off V-sync in drivers while using G-SYNC does not stop it from happening. It does not happen when using V-sync alone without G-SYNC. System is a 1070 6700hq and PG258Q using 384.76 drivers, also tried on 382.33 drivers. Have minimal background pr...

solved! GSYNC making game freeze up during loading / low fps
I'm getting a weird problem where when a games menu screens or any time it loads some assets / has frame drops, the game will lock up. This is while using gsync and it takes much longer to load / recover from the fps drops than usual. This is with the PG258Q EDIT: this is an issue with gsync and lap...

Re: I need help side by side testing my monitors.
Test complete. The pg258q actually seems to have a lower input lag and response time sum. This was a very rudimentary test though. Despite only being able to test at 60hz due to having to borrow my friends crappy hdmi cable, the pictures showed that the monitor using HDMI was about 1 frame behind th...

I need help side by side testing my monitors.
I just got the pg258q and i swear it has more input lag than my old vg248qe. I want to side by side test them but all i have is a cellphone camera. Also i have just one displayport and one hdmi connection so hopefully i can test both at 120hz and swap connections to sperate any connection difference...
