I'd say ~2025ish for the $500 price barrier to broken for desktop 240Hz OLEDs.
1000 Hz OLEDs are also coming 2027, in this OLED refresh bullet train journey.
I've also 100% converted to OLEDs for mixed usage -- even for Visual Studio / office use on the same computers.

[Radeon+MouseHz Interference] atieclxx calls GetRawInputData causing mouse jitter - patched w/ python!
Ah gotcha, sure! Didn't want to evade a rule or anything. https://www.gitlab.com/Aeodyn/amdpatch We have discovered that sometimes there's interference between FreeSync and a high-Hz mouse. I wonder if this is one of the bigger causes of the interference? I'll have to forward this to an AMD enginee...

[Radeon+MouseHz Interference] Re: atieclxx calls GetRawInputData causing mouse jitter - patched w/ python!
Your tweak may be a very interesting improvement for high-Hz mouse users on AMD systems! it's also on my gitlab but I'm apparently not allowed to link there? This is due to spammers that the forum software doesn't let new members post URLs. As you get more posts, this restriction will get removed (t...

Re: XG2431 240hz not smooth ;(
Hey, for 1 year I have xg2431 monitor which I use for competitive gaming, as I read this monitor has terrible refresh compliance ~60%, and 240hz experience is not real here, and it is clearly felt if you are sensitive to it. To be honest I don't feel 240hz since I've bought it. I have been playing ...

Re: Frequent frame repeating on modern GPUs
Hello everyone, This discussion was originally on MonitorTests and posted here by the suggestion of the admin. I hope you will find the topic and issue interesting and will have some ideas to share. Do you have variable refresh rate? This behavior is known as LFC (Low Frame Rate Compensation), whic...

More context is needed. This is elementary school math, you need to supply before/after numbers. You only provided one number.

Re: Google AI says a 240HZ Monitor will display 60 FPS contnet with 75% less persistant blur
I find it weird that I never noticed duplicate images on my plasma while playing 30 FPS games at 60Hz -- marketed at 600Hz. I also never noticed flicker. Damn, I wish I kept my plasma so I could compare it... It's only noticed if you track your eyes on framerate=Hz motion, e.g. panning motions like...

Re: Stutter warnings
Temporarily exit all system monitoring software (no Task Manager either!) and see how this graph looks. Monitoring software, apparently sometimes adds stutters, sadly. Ditto for inefficient RGB software, too.

Re: Google AI says a 240HZ Monitor will display 60 FPS contnet with 75% less persistant blur
Yes, you will get duplicate images. BFI=impulse It is a personal preference if you prefer more motion blur or duplicate images, and how many. 30fps at 60Hz flicker of any kind is two duplicates, and 30fps at 120H flicker of any kind is four duplicates. Pros of 120Hz is less flicker than 60Hz, but mo...
