Re: Large vertical totals for low input lag
This is the picture and motion quality for my setup . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph741tT9U3s (This is Scanline Sync X1 + Vsync on (0.01 method) ULMB 10% ) Thats it. Rolling scan is not visible to the naked eye when playing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=torgs-VO2m0 You're right Scanline Sync ...

Re: Large vertical totals for low input lag
You're good. Ya I saw in one of your posts chief. You said "QFT does not help with VSYNC off because frame slices is like realtime streaming to scanout. That QFT is hugely beneficial to VSYNC ON in dramatically lowering full frame delivery latency. And that VSYNC ON helps with the frame pacing with ...

Re: Large vertical totals for low input lag
Wow that's very interesting. Thank you for your response. I know that you want your framerate=refresh rate = strobe rate. So 60hz @144hz pixel clock @60fps would be slower but that would be 1ms MPRT than 120hz @ 240hz pixel clock @60fps.( I increased the verticals of a 240hz to get 120hz also works ...

Re: Large vertical totals for low input lag
I see thank you for your response.
What would you recommend to produce the most console like feel? I have ulmb enabled no vsync + scanline sync with increased pixel clock. Or would vsync be more close to it because consoles have built in vsync.

Re: Dell AW2518HF - Service menu tutorial
The input lag on this monitor is pretty slow to most 240hz frame pacing just feels weird , I thought money just went down the drain. I did lagom test with a s10 phone camera. And my xl2430t runs faster by like 5ms or so. But I found I've successfully changed my pixel clock of my 60hz to a little abo...

Large vertical totals for low input lag
Editor's Note: Before reading this thread, you need to understand Quick Frame Transport See FAQ: Understanding HDMI Quick Frame Transport (lower lag) So I have aw2518h and I increased the vertical of the 60hz to a little above 144hz pixel clock. Everything seems fine theres faint cross talk on the ...

Re: Can't set AW2518h to 180hz
Well the game is 60fps with gsync it runs the game at 240hz at 60fps so it runs it at essentially 60hz I know the input lag is lower than 60hz with no vsync. But netplay will require the same buffer as a 60hz because it wouldnt have the same input lag as 240hz no vsync which significantly lower than...

Re: Can't set AW2518h to 180hz
buffer is what we use in a netplay with the faster melee client for Super Smash Brothers Melee online. it adds like a 1 1/4 frame each buffer. with higher pings we can use higher buffers and the game will be close to a crt with similar input lag. specifically with high refresh rate monitors

Can't set AW2518h to 180hz
Hi I'm trying to set this monitor to 180hz. I use this monitor on netplay for Dolphin at 240hz, yes I know it has GSYNC but I will have to play on a really low buffer. I just want to use the monitor on 180hz to take advantage of the extra headroom, but everytime I set it to 180hz it just goes BLACK,...
