Question in regard to Framerate Monitor Refresh Rate

Hey Guys, I've got a question for you. When setting a framerate cap what are (if any) the benefits of setting your fps an exact multiple of your monitors refresh rate? Long Story: I'm on 60Hz for now and I will be until the 144Hz OLED releases. I'm playing R6 at 120fps Overwatch at 180fps and Rocket...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

Refresh rate settings are a computer responsibility, and the monitor automatically accepts the refresh rate. In some monitors, there are indeed options to set maximum allowed refresh rates. However, these simply make a high-Hz monitor behave like a lower-Hz monitor for example. Or is an overclockin...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

First step is always ddu.
it does sound like a weird issue. Buy a new cable, dp1.2 and not too long.

I'm not entirely sure as to what this might be, but fyi maxwell should not be powerful enough for 1440p 240 in any esports title except rocket league and some rts.
Kind of a weird purchase.

Re: Monitor size vs distance

Depends on what you are planning on doing with it. For gaming I'd recommend anything under 25". You should look into The VA panels in that range. They have high-ish pixel response times but the contrast is slightly higher as well. 24G2U has a contrast ratio of around 1500 and on top of that has grea...

Re: Looking for a 240 hz monitor

Blur Busters tuning is on the strobe backlight mode. Historically, many strobe backlight modes (such as LightBoost) have had poor color quality, super-excessive loss of brightness, and excessive strobe crosstalk . The Blur Busters Approved certification program is designed to ensure that the strobe...

Re: Why are there no 240hz+ OLED monitors yet?

the burning core is supposed to be 144hz and I believe there's an 120hz coming up.
sadly those are 21.6 and 14 or so inches diagonally. they are very small.
I hope the 27" 4k Model will have 120 and not 60hz.
