Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
What does "OverClocking" do in the monitor options? Using CRU I see that every (front porch, sync width, back porch/blanking/total, and polarity are all the same except the refresh rate is 240.763 vs 239.760. The 144hz and 60hz modes are identical with overclocking on or off.

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
When I updated my graphics drivers it set my color settings to default. I can produce the same results of my previous post if I set the color range to limited in the NVCP. If I set the color range to full in NVCP I get the expected results with the monitor options. The problem was my nvidia settings...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
This is really odd. Maybe I'm confused what color range is. I thought color range was limited to 16~235 instead of 0-255 for screens that have troubles ( like no contrast) when showing dark or light scenes. When set to auto(default) I get the same imagine as limited. When I set it to limited I get d...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
Type C crosshair which is a dot actually can never be centered because it's 2 pixels wide meaning it will offset either left or right 1 pixel. It is also 2 pixels tall meaning it will either offset up or down 1 pixel. I use it in games where sometimes there is a crosshair and sometimes not and they ...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
Could they fix the crosshair in the new firmware? I've only used Type C which is the dot in the middle. It's not ceneted....
Nevermind, for some reason you can move where it is on the screen and I guess I had accidently moved it. not sure why you would want to move a crosshair off the middle XD

Would you share the firmware?Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑09 Feb 2020, 00:15I'm already running the firmware. Personally my favourite compromise is Extreme at night, and Normal during daytime.

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)
Keep the screen 144. Custom profile is fine. Hard to say about the overdrive because it will look different when in gsync mode and while at 125fps (or maybe only when modulating). I personally set my monitor to have no ghosting. It's really complicated how screens work because there are so many diff...

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)
Sounds like gsync is reaching the vsync ceiling then and you should the 125 cap. "If you have V-Sync turned on and fps does not break through the monitor refresh, then there is no point in playing additional blocking frames, for 144 / 165Hz if it holds 143-144fps / 164-165fps it is very good, even i...

Re: Most competive configuration for FPS Games (155hz)
I'm leaving non VRR monitors out of this XD. Vsync should be enabled in the NVCP and disabled in-game for options that have gsync/vsync enabled. gsync/vsync disabled, NULL, in-game fps cap to keep gpu under 90%. +Lowest possible input lag -Tearing and poor consistency -Can look stuttery !This is the...
