Re: V-Sync ON/OFF when FPS < max Hz (+VRR)

I thought there was slight input lag added when enabling Vsync with Gsync? Only when the framerate is sustained above the refresh rate, e.g. G-SYNC on + V-SYNC on + 300 FPS @240Hz (etc), does G-SYNC revert to traditional V-SYNC behavior. The only difference between G-SYNC on + V-SYNC off and G-SYNC...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

It's a slight shift in the tone response (~gamma) on near-black shades. A similar thing is observed when I turn G-Sync on/off (and look at test patterns or use a color sensor). That's why I wasn't sure LFC worked as expected with G-Sync Compatible or the TV dropped out of G-Sync mode with high fram...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

but I'm more looking for an explanation on why it does this rather than what happens with different parameters when it's in use. In what respect, exactly? The auto FPS limit? For G-SYNC, so long as your FPS is limited by the auto cap with Ultra enabled, the pre-rendered frames queue is effectively ...

Re: Advantages of high refreshrates?

Yeah but considering the same setup except different monitors. Same mouse, same graphics card, playing in the same game with exact same ISP but one is on a 144Hz monitor and another on a 240Hz monitor. Then the difference is only like 3 or 4 milliseconds right between 144Hz and 240Hz? Depends on ho...

Re: Advantages of high refreshrates?

Its basicly this part im questioning. I am all for high refreshrates and the minimum of input lag as possible, but its more the advertisement from nVIDIA "See the enemy first" i am having a hard time understand. To be entirely fair to that comparison screen, the fact that 240Hz looks like way less ...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

TL:DR Is there any explanation why using Ultra Low Latency Mode combined with G-Sync Compatible & V-sync ON limits the fps under the monitor's max refresh rate? e.g. a 240Hz monitor will be limited to 225fps Thanks https://blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-input-lag-tests-and-settings/14/: Low Latency...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

It's not that I try to be against GSync+Vsync on principle. I simply like experimenting and this tearing thing seemed a little weird at first (compared my paper shaped expectations). Yeah, compulsive reflex on my part, not necessarily directed at the core of your comment; just a lot of people are t...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

What I am wondering about if it's normal to have tearing with a low fps cap and G-Sync without V-Sync. Off the topic but since I wish to refer back to this... I managed to get FreeSync working on the LG C9 and a Ryzen+Vega notebook. It behaves the same as G-Sync Compatible: occasional and small but...

Re: Advantages of high refreshrates?

I think you get way better edge by having better motion clarity. Motion clarity, framerate, and refresh rate are all directly connected. 240Hz at 240 FPS has more motion clarity than 144Hz at 144 FPS due the increased amount of refreshes per second. This also reduces input lag. I think many forget ...

Is this common in 240 hz monitors, meaning if I replace it for another one, even a different brand that it will be the same ?
Inversion artifacts are more common on TN panel types. It's not necessarily exclusive to the max refresh rate.
